buffett is disgusting! – After vowing that we would never again attend this buffett due to our first experience when the buffet first opened, we once again were luried in after we received the "buy one get one free" coupon we got from our players card.

This makes the second time since it opened we have given it a try, but once again the food was horrible, no selection to choose from unless you want fried chicken, catfish, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, and some dried coconut cake. Some of the food looked as if it had been sitting out from the beginning of the day. We will definantly not be going back there, unless there is a drastic change.... even though our server did a good job... considering the shortage of food selection and quality. The manager Dan was sincerely appologenic and had no hesistation in giving us a full refund when asked to do so.

We sincerely hope they can pull it together in the future, as we do live right across the street and it would be both nice and convenient to have a buffet that was worth patriotizing on a regular basis.

New Orleans' historic host of horses and horn blowers. – Overview
Internationally known as the home of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, this spot has been locally famous for its thoroughbred racing since it opened as the Union Race Course in 1852. Having survived the Civil War, two grandstand-devastating fires, a Depression-era wrecking ball, Huriacne Katrina and the recent influx of casino gambling, the 145-acre racetrack is the country's oldest site of horse racing still hosting the sport.

The Experience
New Orleans' only remaining thoroughbred racing facility has been updated with a separate OTB building and gaming devices. The glass-encased grandstand offers a comfortable way to watch the racing season's photo finishes, although nothing can compare with hovering near the rail to see firsthand which horses show and place. The Clubhouse restaurant is a good bet for those hungry for more than just a piece of the racing action.
