The luxurious meals at this historic mansion let diners live the high life at an affordable price. – In Short
Situated on a hill overlooking the city, this is one of Phoenix's treasured pieces of history. The chewing gum czar, William Wrigley Jr., completed this elegant winter home for his wife back in 1931. In 1992, Geordie Hormel--another guy with a household word for a surname--bought it and opened it to the public. Menu selections range from a cheeseburger to Hudson Valley foie gras. However, the main attraction is Sunday brunch.
Beautiful Old Building a must see! – They do not know how to run a restaurant! Food is cold and takes forever, bunch of kids cleaning tables, obviously they don't know what the word "Fine Dining" is, just seemed very unorganized and not what you would expect when going to such a "Grand" place in one of the best locations in Phoenix. They need to get better Management or figure something else out. I thought the owner "Hormel" would of had a world class facility, but I guess I was wrong.
PERFECT PARTY SPOT! – I hosted a Christmas luncheon at the WMC last year. It event was fabulous! The food and service were perfect and the staff was very attentive to our needs every step from planning to party! The view is gorgeous. I recommend a late evening event so you can watch the sun set!
