Feel's like home – I have eaten at Eden Ave Grill on numerous occasions and it always feels like home. They offer many confort food classics which seem to embody the overall feel of the restaurant. Thier nightly specials are very good. I have had fish, manicotti, and ravioli that has all been very good of thier special menu. The service is good and friendly. The only drawback to Eden Ave Grill would be limited parking and having to wait. Showing up around supper time on the weekend will usually earn you a 20-30 minute wait. If you are looking for good old American style cuisine, the wait will be well worth it.
May 8, 2008 visit – very disappointing experience. Had the special of the day, salmon. Fish did not taste fresh and was an extremely small portion for $16. Seasonal vegetable was VEG-ALL from a can or frozen, very disappointing. Sweet potato fries were only good part of meal.
indifferent service, had to wait a long time to give our order and also to receive check (after she removed plates so obviously we were ready to leave). Will not be returning.
Tasty Bartender – Eden Avenue is my home away from home. I love the food, I love the service, and I LOVE the bartender. I recommend any of the open faced sandwiches, but they newberry is particularly good.
Casual family-style restaurant in tiny Edina. – In Short
Everything's made fresh at the Eden Avenue Grill, an almost-hidden restaurant just off Highway 100. There's a sizable selection of tasty open-faced sandwiches, including the Garden of Eden (veggies with a mushroom sauce), and the Warren Burger (ground beef smothered with mushrooms, onions and sour cream). Families fill the grill, sunk low in the ground, for daily specials, homemade chocolate cake and "real" malts come in an old-fashioned fluted glass.
hard not to go back – The mood is exceedingly comfortable, giving it an almost cult-like following. It seems most customers are there more often than most employees. The menu utilizes pretty standard ingredients, but they are of excellent quality. The menu actually contributes to the "homey" feel of the restaurant- simple, good, homestyle cooking. Yet the menu is incredibly diverse- if you want fajitas, they are excellent- a choice-cut beef tenderloin(mmm), fresh walleye, or just a standard burger- the options there are endless. There is a full bar, which is a rarity in the area. The staff is personable, friendly and attentive. Homemade seasonal desserts, beautiful patio seating, I'm trying to squeeze everything in. Anyway, it's becoming my favorite place to eat(I'm including my own dining room). Check them out and I'm sure you'll be back.
