Kids sit in an oriole's nest or hop across lily pads, then trek out to learn about 2,000 animals. – Overview
You can see a healthy sampling of the world's creatures in one day at Druid Hill Park. Families move through Asia, Africa, Australia and North America as they learn about the lives of snow leopards, poison dart frogs and warthogs. One of the nation's best children's zoos is right here, with interactive exhibits and plenty of friendly species to keep kids enthralled.

Features and Attractions
Fur, scales and fangs reward those willing to wade through an African watering hole, endure the charming stench of the gorilla house and hob-nob with North America's largest colony of African penguins. Guided tours of this 161-acre zoo will load you with a lion's share of beastly facts. Beware: a glimpse of the six-foot-long blood python might make you lose your lunch--it's not pretty, but quite memorable.

Azoolutely Great – The only thing that the National Zoo in Washington has that the Baltimore Zoo hasn't are Pandas.

The things that The Baltimore Zoo has that the National Zoo hasn't are too numerous to mention.

The Africa exhibit is exceptional, the grounds are beautiful and there are rides for kids.

A fun family day place.

kid friendly fun – my brother-in-law treated me to a day at the zoo with my nieces and nephew. they loved the animals and the ability to get close up and interact with them. really a great place. my brother-in-law prefers it over the national zoo too.

hidden treasure – Who would think that such a good zoo would be hidden in baltimore? some really good exhibits- they do need some kind of transportation though, it is one long walk!
