Worst Thai Food Ever had Opportunity to Try – Great location and ambiance for business and atmosphere but severely disappopionted in the food quality and preparations. Portions are significantly smaller than any other Thai Restutrants in the whole state and way to expensive for what you get. Don't even bother getting appetizers which they call "nibbles" because you'll be in for more disappointments. Overall, good atmosphere like most other Thai Restuarents but food is terrible and expensive, be warned...

TASTELESS OVERPRICED FOOD – The food was not worth the price we found it "average" at best..So if you're looking to share an entree.FORGET IT! The portion sizes are so small that they barely give you enough for one person. And this is coming from someone who has eaten in alot of Thai restaurants. I have to give them credit though for their pretty impressive look. But unfortunately, that all there is to it.

Good food & ambiance – Used to go to Typhoon in downtown Seattle and just discovered the Typhoon in Redmond - great place to go just before hitting the movie theater next door but it's busy on a Friday night - allow time. Good food - consistent!

Huh? How did every order get screwed up? – About a month ago, me and 2 co workers went to Typhoon for lunch. Personally I have not been to this location in over 5 years. No real reason, just have not. Well, unfortunately I now do have a reason for making it another 5 or more years before I return. My co workers and I were seated out on the patio. Our waiter came over to take our order, and I could not help but notice that something seemed slightly off with him? He was acting...a little slow. We shall just say that. Anyways, my co worker ordered the Panang Curry (zero stars) I ordered the Drunken Noodles (as hot as I could order them. I love spice) My other co worker ordered the Dungeness Crab stir fried rice (he orders this every time he comes to Typhoon) All 3 of our orders were wrong in some way. My co workers Panang had my super hot spice in it and I had her zero spice. I had to request a spice tray and apply liberally as there was no spice at all. The Dungeness Crab fried rice, came out as Dungeness Crab Phad Thai. My co worker sent it back, but had happily noticed the heaping pile of crab on top. He of course thought when the new dish came out the crab would be piled on as well! Not so much. When the new stir friend dish came out, he had to dig and dig and dig to find a few small morsels of crab. When he called over management and said the "wrong" dish had piles of crab, and now the "correct" had but maybe a few morsels of crab, the manager looked at him and literally could have cared less. Our waiter throughout the meal hardly stopped by and when he did, he just looked...slow...and well...not all there.

We all left dissapointed as our bill was about $50.00 and all 3 meals were wrong in one way or another.

It might have been an off day for them, but still no excuse to mess up all 3 orders.

Don't waste your money here. – This place used to be good a year ago, but not so anymore. The past several times I've come to eat here have been very disappointing. The phad thai is almost tasteless, no spice, and they don't ask you how many stars you'd like. We are only given water if we ask for it, and the waitress did not refill our drinks at all. The prices are way too high for the bland food you are getting, and doesn't include any rice. The swimming rama consisted of soggy lettuce and no spinach, and only a few small pieces of chicken which I was charged extra for. It's very clear that all the effort at this restaurant went into the decorations instead of the food or service. I will not eat here again ever. Look around for a more authentic Thai restaurant.

Good Food...so so service – Food here is quite good. My favorite is the basil curry with tofu...delicious. Yellow curry and the King's curry is good too. During the fall and winter seasons, they offer the pumpkin soup which is lip smackingly good. I love the fried banana dessert.

Service here is quite spotty. If you are lucky, you will get a great waiter...other time, you get a terible one and have to suffer long waits and messed up orders.

Good Service, Great Atmosphere, Average Meal – This is my first time to Typhoon! We had a large party of 12 people for Dinner last Saturday night. Our waitress was attentive and patient. Which is sometimes tough with such a large group. The decor is well done, modern, yet colors are warm and inviting. The menu has a large variety of Thai style cuisine to choose from and a huge tea menu. We all ordered something a little different and shared plates. For the most part the flavors were well done. The chicken entrees tended to be quite dry. The Forget-me-not curry with pork was tender and flavorful. The crab phad thai wasn't the best I ever had, but was acceptable. Salmon was well executed. The Chicken Curry was dry and not as flavorful as I would have liked. The Tom Yum Goon soup had a nice lemony flavor and a spicy kick, but there were only 3 prawns in it and the chopped chicken was dry. It doesn't look too appetizing when it comes to the table either. The potstickers were tasty. You have your choice of white or brown rice. After hearing about the Espresso creme brulee we had a couple of orders. It was tasty, but there was barely a hint of coffee flavor. Still worth eating though! Overall we had a nice dining experience, but I'd stick to the basics when ordering.

Worst Thai Food ever – This had to be the worst Thai food I have ever tasted - and I have eaten in a lot of Thai restaurants. My wife ordered halibut, which was dry and overcooked and served with a sour sauce that tasted like vinegar and cilantro. She actually felt sick after she got home. My masaman beef dish looked like beef stew, except for the lack of vegetables except for a few carrots. The prices were very high too. I don't mind paying high prices if the food is excellent - but this was terrible. By the way, the parking is non-existant because of the nearby movie theater. I won't be back here ever, even though it is the closest Thai restaurant to my home.

Elegant Thai restaurant in Redmond offers the same treats as its Seattle sister. – In Short
Chef/owner Bo Kline and her husband Steve have white linen napkins and black iron tea pots decorating tables; thick bamboo poles serve as room separators. A gigantic open kitchen allows for a show, though usually the display is less than dramatic. Start with the authentic Thai miang kum: spinach leaves serve as wrappers for any combination of toasted coconut, ginger, lime, peanuts, chilis, dried shrimp.

Delicious!!! – Typoon! in Redmond is one of the best Thai resturants I have been in. It is well known for its delicious food, elegant and romantic atmosphere, and the coconut/mango ice cream :o) Though Redmond is not the best place for dining, Typoon! makes it all a little better...
