On 23rd (chain restaurant) but delicious - and this location has super friendly staff and the slice option after 9PM. Fresca is a good choice!

meh. soggy pizza and wrong food delivered. – pizzicato used to be so yummy a few years back. great fresh ingredients and toppings, crispy crust, awesome tasty salads. they are still pretty good if you go there and eat in the restaurant, but their delivery service is awful. i have gotten the wrong food delivered 3 times in a row. i'm tired of having to call back each time to get the right order, especially since i have to wait over an hour for delivery anyway. when the pizza gets there you have to check the box not only to be sure it is the right order, but also to check to see if the pizza is in good condition-- one was delivered to me once that looked like someone had taken the pizza box and thrown it around like a frisbee before delivery-- it was a mashed soggy mess piled up in one corner, ugh. today's pizza was merely squashed and soggy, and they delivered the wrong salad. what happened, pizzicato? times are tough but your carelessness has cost you another customer. meh. i wish you'd pay attention.

Great outdoor dining experience – We recently moved from Atlanta, GA. Our dog has been able to accompany us most places due to Portland's dog friendly atmosphere. We lucked upon Pizzicato looking for outdoor dining on a beautiful summer night. The lights in the trees at 23rd and Glisan were beautiful. We ate a tasty fennel sausage and prosciutto pizza and accompanied it with two awesome IPA's. We found the service to be pleasant and the we know we will be back.

Gluten free Pizza – some places are good with making gluten free pizza taste like normal pizza, and some are not, pizzicato is one that is not capable... Terrible crust, and way to pricey for what you get.

stay away :(

best pizza in portland – AMAZING PIZZA. it truly IS gourmet.

its kinda spendy, but worth it. ultra thin crust, with really good toppings.

i always just get a slice of pizza to go, so i cant tell you about the service. but when i get it to go, the employees are very friendly!

Incredible Shrinking Toppings – This used to be our go to restaurant for nights when we were too busy to cook. Now I don't think we will ever go back. The pizzas have always been pricey, but they used to be a good value for the money, with first-rate ingredients piled on. The slices were so thick they went a long way. Now the little bits of toppings are put on so thinly that they just aren't satisfying. I can see skimping on expensive ingredients, I guess, since we are in the middle of a recession. But when a pizza that used to have thick potato slices and big roasted garlic cloves now has teeny bits of diced potato and nearly invisible fragments of garlic that is really going too far. And two mushrooms are not enough to top a large pizza!

Good Food, A service Challenge. – They still get credit for having great pies and salads. They lose points for the new service standard.

Ordering from the counter and then seating yourself, while being told to get your own water and silverware from the station behind you is not what I expect from Pizzacato.

Also, poor execution of the service from kitchen to table. Our party of 10+ was asked to form up and order one at a time, then take a seat. Some of us were done eating before others were served. These were not complicated orders.

It felt like a new program being rolled out to save some labor money. It will cost them in the long run.

I like Pizzacato and the staff, they were working hard. It's the system they were forced to run that needs help.

Horrid service! – Five of us went to Pizzicato on NW 23rd about a week ago. We had the worst service I've ever experienced anywhere! It was so bad that I ended up leaving $0 (zero) tip, and I've never ever done that before... I'm usually a 20% tipper.

Several other groups came, ate and left, before we even got our food. All we ordered were some salads, panninis and slices of pizza (already made and sitting there). We were there almost an hour, the first 35 or 40 minutes of which we were just WAITING. It was excruciating!

We won't be back.

This Portland-based mini-chain serves up sophisticated slices. – In Short
Behind the street-side picture windows, the sleek decor of modern furniture and highly polished floors feels nothing like a typical pizza joint. In keeping with the visuals, the pies are upscale versions of their traditional cousins. Gourmet toppings like spicy shrimp and barbecued chicken are layered atop thin crusts brushed with olive oil and garlic. Rounding out the menu are fresh salads and paninis, complemented by local wines and microbrews.

Great salads. Not enough seating. Inattentive staff. – Pizzacato was my place of choice on NW 23rd. Excellent salads, attentive staff. The service was pretty good and the people friendly. Ever since the remodel though, the place is somehow different. The staff always seem to be in such a hurry and personalized service is a thing of the past. Along with the remodel, they've had a personnel change and the "energy" is very different. I think I need to give it a rest for awhile and see if the place is allowed to move into it's newness before I return.

great taste – I don't eat meat and there is always a veriety of choices. The food tastes great. They also have a stamp card to get free slices or pizzas. You can also get a cold beer or glass of wine if you'd like.
