Best in class – The price (despite what others has said) has been stable, except for a spike in beef prices. Compared to Cafe Rio (another good restaurant, but quite overrated and over-hyped, in my opinion), Barbacoa burritos have a great blend of different tastes (delicious meats, great salsas, yummy cilantro-lime rice, and fresh vegetables in a fresh steamed tortilla). In contrast, other restaurants' burritos end up tasting like the sauce that is put on them. Additionally, the burritos are stuffed to bulging and are big enough to make you waddle out of the restaurant, without having to pay for extras. Long live Barbacoa!!
Good food - ok price. – Good food, small portions, medium-high price.
Loud, fast food type enviroment..
Growing price, shrinking portions – When Barbacoa first opened several years ago I was a regular customer. The food was great, portions were good and the prices were reasonable. Since then it seems they have done everything possible to get more and more out of their customers while providing less and less in return. Every time I go it seems they have raised their prices again, shrunk their portions, or started charging extra for things like tortillas. In my opinion its no longer worth it. Go to Cafe Rio or Molca Salsa instead.
