I love the Kit Kat! It's super high end atmosphere, entertainment, and food/drinks are unmatched in the Boystown/Wrigleyville area. It seems to be the place to go for Bachelorette parties and really just to hang out. I always have a good time and the owner Ramesh is super nice and accommodating. The performers are world class and put on an incredibly entertaining show. I would highly recommend checking out the Kit Kat. Truly a unique Chicago experience.
My experience – I found the Kit Kat website when I was actually browsing for the Baton show, so I thought I give (Kit Kat) a try. Big Mistake! I went there to celebrate my daughters birthday. what was the point of making reservation if we had to wait outside in the chilly air before we were squeezed into a table where we were paractically huddling and we were only a party of 3. To top it off we had to wait awhile before a waiter came to take our drink orders, the drinks were ok. the entertainment I was highly disappointed... Traci Ross came out to the floor walked around with a mic and that was pretty much it to the performance again disappointed. We order some chicken for appetizer and that came cold. Needless to say it was our first and last time visiting the Kit Kat....
Kit Kat is the place to be!! – This place rocks - loved the food and atmosphere and service - highly recommended!

So much fun! – I recently hosted a girls night out - our table was ready on time, the hearty appetizers were great and the extra large and creative martini list made for many delicious samplings! The entertainment was fun (not too in your face) and an added bonus. Would definitely recommend Kit Kat for groups as well as a nice date night. Check their weekly promotions for great dining/drink deals.
Love it! – Kit Kat is GREAT! my friend and I had such a fun night out there recently- great performers, awesome martinis and delicious food. definitely a great place to go with groups to celebrate b-days or just a night out with friends. so fun!
Terrible Service, Food and Attitude – Was part of a group of 16 on a Saturday night. It took 1 hour to get apps and they were small in portion and cold. The servers never bothered to ask us if we wanted more than one drink and when they did it took twnty minutes to get it. The meal took 2 hours and only arrived after one of the guests complained to the manager who got confrontational and profaned at him? The food wansn't worth waiting for, marginal at best and the vegtables were ice cold. The service was just terrible. Whatever happend to customer service with a smile? Instead we got profanity? The manager told us teh kitchen wasn't big enough to feed the number of customers in the place? WHAT?? Don't waste your time here. There are hundreds of great places to eat nearby with staff who want to work for your dollars.
The entertainment was the highlight and the only thing worthwhile.
Good time all around – I attended the Kit Kat Lounge for a small birthday party for a friend. We had many different martini's and they were all pretty tasty. The food was fantastic. I had the best pork chop Ive ever had! I also got a taste of the spicy pasta dish, which was fantastic. The show was very entertaining, and the entertainer was very nice to our table. All in all it was a great night. I'll be going back on one of their 1/2 price martini nights.
Terrible – OK. This was a BIG UPSET. The only thing about this that was actually good was the performer. The wait staff was rude. Almost flat out ignorant. They food was cold by the time it got to our table. Was there for a bachlorette party and we had reservations and spend lots of money. Our food took almost 2 hours. How does that happen when you have a reservation? Whatever you do, do not go here. I promise it will be a dissappointment.....unless you want to see a drag show with crappy food and even crappier staff to boot. I have never been so disrespected by a waiter in my entire life!!!!!!!
Bad all around – The service, the food, the room--all bad. The food took forever and was cold and tasteless when it finally arrived. The waiter (Marco) seemed inconvenienced at every request. May be okay for a drink and see a drag show but that's it.
Avoid on crowded nights – My group consisted of 6 people. The entertainment & service was fine. The food was average. I don't agree with the policy of the 2 hour maximum limit at tables if your constantly ordering food or drinks. Our group spent a good amount of money to be told vacate our table. I will definitely think about going there again. Maybe I will go back for the drinks & entertainment and sit at the bar.
FABULOUS – I go here on my birthday each year. What a great time to fancy it up, drink fabulous drinks, and watch the beautiful ladies. The staff are always nice and fun to talk with. The atmosphere is small but fab.
Great Martini Special – I highly recommend this place on Sunday and Tuesday nights for their Martini Specials, It will be crowded but the homosexuals are harmless at this place. There food is good too and will coat your stomach to allow you to digest some extra martinis. Use good judgement though, after a cubs game and 7 martinis get out of there before you get tossed, trust me!!

Divia Martni – This place is so much fun !! We went here for my best friends birthday with 10 of us and the food is so good. I had the "SOME LIKE IT HOT" and it was out of this world i even asked to speak to the chef just to tell him how much i liked it .But the divas are a blast!About every 20 mins or so (wish it was more)they have maddona , tina tunner and JLo doing a show and they are so good .I have been to the batton and this show is so much better at kit kat because they are right in front of you.And last but of all the martins are so tasty i had the Ruby Slipper and it taste like the ice cream you had when you where a kid that push up thing any way if your looking for great food and a supper fun time ck it out ...
Martini's Beyond – Myself and a group of friends decided to check out Kit Kat prior to going to a club nearby. The show could of been better, and the wait is a bit much, but the Martini's are beyond! They have a "dictionary" worth of Martini's. This was a plus. the food was okay,t he service was good, but the Martini's!!!
Skip this one – I would not recommend this restaurant. While the singers are entertaining, it is not worth the expensive and terrible drinks and food. The menu sounds great, but the food is tasteless. The service was terrible and incredibly slow. We had to ask multiple times for someone to take our food order. I, infact, thought I just had a bad experience, but friends went there last weekend and complained about the same things and said they would never go there again. It sounds like a fun place to go with a group, but definitely not!
Go for the "show" not the food. – My wife and I dined there on a Tuesday night mainly to check out the female impersonator show. In the Chicago gay neighborhood Boys Town. I had the grilled shrimp dish and my wife had appetizers. I expected average food but it was overcooked and without much taste. I expected average food and prices but I would say food below average and prices higher than average. Large martini menu. Service was very attentive and frequent. One female impersonator who changed costumes with each song. She was very entertaining but long delays between songs. I expected several "girls" that rotate but that night only one. With cab rides from downtown and $66 dinner bill with tip, it was about a $100 night. Not really worth it except for the "show. Very loud, even when the impersonator show is not on. Go for a drink, appetizer and show.
Ooh la la – Went in expecting it to be just another club, but had a great time. . .excellent martinis and show.
Female impersonators strut their stuff at this stylish Boys Town martini lounge and restaurant. – The Scene
Candlelight flickers and club music throbs at this energetic nightspot, where white-leather banquettes fill with smartly dressed couples and groups sipping specialty martinis. Classic movies are projected onto the walls; every so often, the lights come up and patrons are treated to an impromptu performance by one of the "Kit Kat divas."
The Food
The eclectic menu takes comfort food for a global ride: Asian-influenced fare like sushi rolls and seared tuna with ginger are offered alongside salads, pastas and steak plates. Favorite starters include coconut crab cakes with dill tartar and calamari with zesty orange-tomato-ginger dipping sauce. Coconut also stars on the signature Big Daddy shrimp--four deep-fried butterflied crustaceans dredged in coconut and served with pineapple-horseradish sauce. Crusted delectably with pumpkin seeds, flaky mahi mahi is paired with serrano-cilantro cream sauce; sweet-tart red-onion marmalade makes the Top Hat Tender a standout steak.
Not Bad But Needs Improvement – Friday night for a leisurely dinner, from 6 - 9pm. Service was excellent! Iced tea was hot tea poured over ice at my table. Nice. Presentation was perfection. BUT... the "Miss Saigon" dish (Ahi tuna over greens, with vinagrette dressing)... was mediocre. Have had the same dish elsewhere and this was not very flavorful. The asian dressing from Wendy's would have made this taste WAY better. Not super pricey...appetizers (calamari) and comp bread tray, 2 entrees, 3 reg drinks, 2 iced teas, 2 lattes = $80 plus tip = $100. Ambience was nice, until the music would get too loud during the drag show - and then the LIGHTS!!! Would flash like a bad disco. If one was epileptic - this would have been really bad. I was wishing for sunglasses. Overall, liked it enough, but I would try different food, and leave before the show... or eat later on.
that's entertainment – This is a fun place to go with friends... and spend some money... :) I have always enjoyed the food and of course the Martinis and entertainment...
Tasty – Kit Kat's swank style, kind and hip staff, delightful entrees, and wicked martinis add up to a good night out. While moderately pricy, note the martinis are half-priced on Sundays and Tuesdays - only $4.25 each, where it's easy to relax in the uncrowded bar with a group of friends.
Kit Kat is All That! – I absolutely can't say enough about the staff and entertainment at Kit Kat! It has been an awesome experience each time I've been there. The atmosphere is fun and exciting. The martini's are the best I've ever had! And, the food is absolutely delicious. It is a must to try. I can't say enough about it.
What's not to like – Fantastic food, Great Show, Outstanding service. A cool place to people watch!
hello kit kat – Had a great time! The food was wayyy overpriced. I think that I will come back when the market gains some points. In the meantime I reccomend to the owners to lower the price of the food! Other than that things were great.
Mostly Good, Some Bad – Excellent food. All 6 in our party cound not stop raving about our meals. It was the second best seafood meal I have ever had. Service was decent, but a bit slow. The customer service leaves something to be desired. One of the desserts came out different than the menu described and the waiter did not even bother to apologize. Martinis were very good, especially the "dessert" ones. Try the chocolate raspberry!! Our biggest complaint was that we were kicked out just as we finished our dessert. The place is pricey, so you'd expect to be treated better.
