Crepes Parisiennes One of the Best Creperie Restaurants I have ever been to – This was my first time at this restaurant. We arrived when the restaurant opened. The decor was very french to me. You have to stand in line to place your order. I ordered a breakfast crepe and a dessert crepe. They were wonderful tasting. The breakfast crepe was cooked on top after being folded creating a stiffer with more holding power, where you can pick it up and eat it. The dessert crepe (apricot my favorite) is softer and needs to be eaten off a plate but there was whipped cream on it! The crepes are large in size so one of each was enough. Actually my friend and I split the breakfast crepe and each had our own dessert crepe. The coffee was outstanding, and hot! I won't drink coffee unless it is well brewed. (To me a coffee must not be weak, cold or lack flavor.) Since good coffee is a must for me, (or I brew it myself with an aeropress), I found myself the happiest of customers. I even went up to the owner and chated with the owner himself about our first time visit.. I marked this place as a favorite on my GPS, so that the next time I am in PIttsburgh, I can definitely come to this restaurant!!!

Best Crepes in the City – Crepes Parisiennes is the best place to get crepes in the city. The food is spot on French cuisine and the perfect place to go if your looking for an afternoon repas. However one thing that you must realize is that this is a truly "French" establishment. The customer service is not the same as a TGIF or another American establishment such as that. So therefore, like any French cafe or restaurant, you are in the proprietors place of business and must follow the proper etiquette. If you think you can walk in and be the most important person in the restaurant simply because you are a customer, then you are wrong. Be patient and wait. I know that this is a hard concept for American society to grasp but it is "la vie francaise". So if you can be open minded to a truly French experience and you love crepes then you will adore this hidden gem of French Cuisine.

Bad customer service – This review is for the Craig Street location.

The crepes are good but there are no regular hours at this location. The post on the door says that they open at "10ish" and you should not be surprised if at 3:30pm you are told that they decided to close even if the posted closing time is 4pm. The staff is not welcoming and almost impolite.

Follow the rules – Hey old lady get away from that chair!! There will be no sitting here before you order! There are rules and they are clearly defined (outside the main door on a simple black and white 8x10 piece of paper to the right of the door below eye level) The food is actually pretty good, but the tall thin brunette on Sunday morning gets way to worked up about people sitting before placing their orders. If you do not follow the rules the crepe lady morphs into her own Seinfeld episode and makes everyone in the place uncomfortable. The crepes are good, but not sure if it is worth it. This review is for the Craig Street location.

good crepes for pittsburgh – I was skeptical to hear that Pittsburgh had a creperie. The product is good, althought the crepe is thicker than the french product. The wide variety of toppings are nice.

The Crepe Place – I went to school in Pittsburgh and everytime I come back this is the first place I head. The food is absolutely wonderful. They offer a wide variety of stuffings for crepes both sweet and savory (meal like). I have never met anyone who did not like this place. I highly recommend the veggie crepe with soytang and the chocolate crepe with mandarin orange.

The atmosphere is very relaxed. You order at the cashiers then seat yourself and they bring your food out to you. It can get crowded on the weekend, but generally you dont wait for a table. If you do the wait has been 5 mins in my experience.

Shadyside's quiet creperie is a rewarding alternative to deli madness. – The Scene
A few steps down from the street, you'll find a little bit of Paris. Sacks of special flour line the wall, with tables and chairs scattered throughout a brightly-lit room. There is only an un-Frenchlike counter to order from, but service is exceptionally fast and friendly.

The Food
Special crepe cookers have been imported from France--and using special flour, the crepes are thin and crisp. The fillings are divided into savory and sweet. Savory choices include eggs, cheese, mushroom, spinach, and even salmon with chives and creme fraiche. They're topped with a choice of four different sauces and are served with a small tossed salad with a light vinaigrette dressing. Sweet crepes are filled with a range of preserves, chocolate, and fresh fruits; then they are topped with whipped cream or chopped walnuts. All are delicious, thanks to the use of the right ingredients and equipment.
