Worst stay ever – This is the second weekend that my husband and I chose to stay at this hilton. Our first experiance 4 years ago was awesome but this one was a different story. We are locals in the area and we chose to stay at the local Hilton of Greenville to celebrate Valentines Day. I made our reservations on Tuesday. We wanted a corner room on the exec floor but we were told that wasn't avalible. So we settled for a corner room on the reg floor. In order to get us to make the reservation the staff member that I delt with offered us the American Breakfast with our stay. So we proceded to make the reservation. When we arieved at the hilton the Staff was great. The attendant at the desk offered us late checkout at 2PM at no charge which was great. The night was almost great. Our neighbors were so loud. I called down to the desk twice and nothing was done about it. There is nothing like having a romantic weekend with your husband interupted by loud screams and moans from the neighboring room. We had a late night bc we attended a concert and we knew we could check out at 2 pm olus we were locals so we decided to sleep in. WELL we were awakened by loud knocking at 930 am. Knock knock good morning at least 3 times. Then as I wake up the housekeeper starts trying to open the door. Not to mention I have the Do not disturb on the door. She then closes the door and walks away before I can get there to see what the fire is about. I open the door and she is down the hall doing the same thing to someone else. I askes what she needed and she says i just checking i just checking. I asked what are you just checking and she is wanting to clean our room. I then tell her that we arranged for late check out and to please no bother us again as nicely as possible. Then about 1030 we decide to order breakfast. My husband and I decide what we want to order and we call room service. When I call down she says that the All American is included in our stay and that we can order that for free or we can buy something else. So we then change our origional order to the American bc its INCLUDED. WHen room service bring up our breakfast she brings a bill for about 33 dollars. I tell her that the lady we ordered from says its included. She is no help and I then tell here that I will just take care of it at checkout. So then we go down to checkout at 2pm and the attendant at guest services ask how was our stay. I procede to explain the room service ordeal and she really doesn't want to hear it. I asked for the manager and she said he was busy and there was nothing that could be done about it. We were very unhappy and our romantic weekend at this point would have been better spent at home.
Great Hotel – I recently stayed at this hotel on business. They have recently renovated and everything was in great condition. The Hilton offers comp wifi which is a plus. I ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Greenville.
