Terrible – To start off, the staff was just terrible. They were incredibly rude, and they kicked people out of the hotel for no rhyme or reason. I watched as one person was kicked out simply because he ripped his pants, in the butt, and went up to his room to change. They didn't even let him get his stuff! Just told him to get out or that they would call the police. The staff was also threatening to kick people out if they were not in their rooms by a certain time. They treated others like crap because they "didn't pay as much as other people for better rooms." Next let me tell you about the living arrangements. The room I was in was cramped for what was paid. Two beds stuffed into a small room is just outrageous. There was hardly any room to breathe let alone relax. I am a bigger guy, and I had trouble even moving about the room. The only good thing I can say is that it had a nice view, and the rooms were clean. Other than that, it was a horrible stay, and I would recommend that you would choose any other hotel but this one.

Owned by Foreign Investment Company, A Mess! – I recently had a very bad experience here. I booked a two bed room (they called a suite on the special executive floor) for my employee and I. They only had one bed available when I got there and NO parking. They told me they had Valet and Self Park. But when I got there at 12 MIDNIGHT, they made me walk through downtown Pittsburgh to a parking garage BY MYSELF to park my car. They did not have someone to escort me; they were short handed they said. The food I had ordered was not in my room (I had flown all day) and they were doing construction ON MY DOOR until 3 in the morning. When I called repeatedly and asked them to stop they said they would. When the construction continued I called again and again and they finally informed me that the construction manager refused to stop. He said he was under a deadline and I'd just have to deal with it. Pretty Ugly treatment. I didn't rant and rave but I had to ask to be moved. Please note that this construction involved VERY strong fumes from a chemical they were applying all over the door. The men applying the liquid wore no safety gloves or breathing masks and it was really strong stuff. I could go on and on. I got so tired of the abuse so I took pictures. If anyone wants to challenge this review bring it on. There is more than just this. Know that this hotel is apparently no longer owned by Hilton but by an Indian Investment Co. I think that explains the inhuman treatment. They, of course, wanted full payment for the two bed room they didn't give me. What a mess!

Nicest downtown hotel – If you are going to be staying downtown; stay at the Hilton. Great views of Mt. Washington & the Point.

Great service, Always helpful staff, nice rooms.

We have stayed here numerous times & keep comming back.

Reliable upscale lodgings in a behemoth of a building. – The Scene
The city's largest hotel opened in 1959 and reflects the uninspired architecture of that era. Fortunately, the interior follows a different drummer. With a location near Heinz Field, home of the Steelers, the property is busy on fall weekends. It's also near numerous corporate offices, which brings in business crowds.

The Details
Some rooms have a country look, with pretty checked curtains, striped wallpaper and simple wood furnishings. Suites feature soft earth tones and pastels, and furnishings are a contemporary take on French provincial decor. Eight luxury suites have entertaining space. Located on floors 22 through 24, the concierge level has its own elevator and registration desk; a stay here includes breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. All accommodations have either river and park or stadium and theater district views. Two floors of meeting space (36,000 square feet) include a Grand Ballroom and Executive Conference Center.
