Cute clothes – The clothes here is really cute. I didn't have any problems with the customer service here.
Best online customer service – I loved shopping at their online store, shopkitson, my order was delayed due to the fact that they just moved offices but if you read their customer service policy it explains all there. I received exactly what I ordered and when I called to check the status of my order I got through easily, the customer service rep did everything he could to help me. I will definitely shop with them again, they have the cutest stuff.
Horrible Place to Shop – Buyer beware. Should you buy something and need to return or exchange, know that you have only 5 days to do so and you will be issued a store credit. Best to buy items from Saks or any other store especially if you get the displeasure of dealing with the creepy little paranoid male who owns the stores.
I LOVE KITSON – I own a few stores and recently went to the Ivy for lunch then headed over to KITSON. The staff was nice, the service was fine and I did find many things I liked and I bought. I really hate people who complain. What possibly could you have a problem with at Kitson unless you can't afford to shop there. If you can't afford it just appreciate it for what it is. Lisa Kline’s stores are boring. Everyone at Kitson was very helpful.
NEVER order ftom Kitson online – I wanted to buy something special for my wife for Xmas 2009 and finally decided upon a silk scarf from Kitson. I made the order on Dec 17 and paid an additional $23 for 2 day shipping. By Wed, Dec 23 I had not received anything so contacted them vial email - I was told they can not guarantee when they will ship their orders out and to read the terms of service, specifically the part which states they will not expedite orders. I argued with them that they can not offer faster shipping rates at additional cost if they are unable to adhere to their own dates. Their first response was “too bad”. Then they stopped responding.
The scarf came on Christmas Eve. I quickly wrapped it and set it beneath the tree. Upon opening it the next morning, my wife advised me it smelled of perfume. I took a whiff and sure enough, it smelled like it had been worn. According to Kitson’s return policy, they will not refund an item unless it is damaged. I consider the fact I purchased a new scarf and received one laden with another woman’s perfume “damaged” and have begun the process on returning the item and asking for a full refund, additional shipping costs included.
Their return policy is also misleading: they state you must use their return form but fail to link said form anywhere on their site, leaving me no choice other than to email them and request a form.
I have never received such poor customer service from a company, online or not, and have never had so much trouble returning an item. It’s as if they are going out of their way to scam the consumer. I’ve never been in their store physically so I can’t comment on that, but I will NEVER use Kitson online again and would encourage anyone considering to do so against it.
One star, in my opinion, is more than generous.
HORRIBLE at best!! Never Shop Kitson online!! – I placed order online...ordered about 15 items. I read their policy and understood that it will take about 2 weeks for them to ship them out. After 2 weeks, NOTHING...I waited another week....NOTHING, then I called. They said they will be shipped out by that Friday. Then monday came, I called to see if they have shipped out. Their answer was via email " CANCEL ORDER". Unbelievable, I have cancelled ENTIRE order from me. They say that ALL the items I ordered are no longer available. Yeah right, they have them still online. I think workers there are TOO LAZY to pack the items and ship them out...so rather than making the profit for the company, they wait until last minute....then notify customers "CANCEL ORDER". If they don't even want to deal with online..then they should shout down the website itself. Such a idiot...really I have never experience such a company before. What a shame.
Overrated at best – This is the most overrated store in Los Angeles. The clothes have been on the shelf for years. The same Great China Wall sweatshirt, for $2,000 hasn't moved in 5 years. The sales people are dumb, rude and complete wannabes. Total rip off...don't waste your time or money. The merchandise is garbage.
Beware! Thieves!! – Beware before purchasing anything at Shop Kitson!! I ordered from them and approximately 6 hours later I had almost $1000 in fraudulent charges on my card. I never use this particular card and don't carry it in my wallet, plus some of the charges were from the Los Angeles area..........so it is obvious someone that works there took my info and used it to purchase items. Not to mention that the item I ordered never shipped! My bank is currently investigating it and I can assure you I will be pressing charges.
DONT SHOP HERE!! – Normally, I don't take the time out to leave comments but this needs to be said: I URGE YOU TO SPEND YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!
I made a purchase online and received the notice...., blah blah blah. I waited a week and nothing. Since their website doesn't feature a order tracking option, I emailed them and they answered saying that my order will be sent immediately. Obviously, the order was lost and they were scrambling to get it out.
Anyway, 19 days later after I placed my order, I finally receive my package...... WITH THE WRONG ITEM! By now, I'm beyond angry. I send them another email stating the wrong item was shipped. They reply saying they will expedite my replacement and reimburse my shipping cost once the item has been returned. Wait another 6 weeks. I'm ready to call my credit card company to refute any charges and then I randomly receive my package with no apology for their stupidity or lack of professionalism. After reading some of these other posts, I guess Im lucky for even getting what I ordered!
Kitsons business practices are absolutely absurd and ludicrous! How can they think they are running a business? A bunch of monkeys can do a better job! Clearly, theyve been featured on People one time too many for all the wannabee actresses that shop there but they know absolutely nothing about business and customer service!
PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND SANITY AND GO ELSEWHERE!
Fun to browse – It's fun to look around but I've never bought anything. To me...it was more of a fun place to browse with my girlfriends.
