Fun, funky place! – Came here on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by really friendly people! The room was nicely crowded, cool music, great drinks (esp the champagne cocktails, YUM!) and really tasty food. Try the foie gras app it's amazing! Overall, a really nice experience with good food, friendly service and never felt pressured to hurry up my meal, which for me is a real bonus.
Cool Spot – Went there on Friday, place was packed with nice crowd. Very good food and cool music. Party was getting good and this is definitely a place to get your Fridays well started!
Sinfully delicious!! – The room itself was a wonder to behold - decked out in orange and white once we walked up the stairs - we were definitely not expecting the night that we had - I had originally planned to pop out for dinner with my friends but we ended up staying out very late indeed after dinner enjoying the vibe and testing out a range of champagnes . I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves good food, music and bubbles! I guess thats everyone!! All in all a very good reason to visit south beach and settle in for the night!
Great Place! – Was in Miami for the weekend. Pearl was a great place to go. Had drinks and food was great! Great ambience, service was good! I usually dont write reviews... but I recommend this place!!
Valentines Day nightmare. Overpriced filthy place – First of all there was no valet parking. As you walk in to the place you will see trerrazo floors that haven't been cleaned in a while. You will also see long white dirty drapes with holes in them. Most of the glassware on our table was dirty and the menu had grease stains all over it. And we are seeing all of this with dimmed lights, can't imagine what the place would look like with regular lights. The beef that I ordered was ok, but the side of scalloped potatoes was ice cold (like right out of the freezer). My fiancee ordered the same thing and her potatoes were ok (I mean warm). I didn't complain at the restaurant because I don't like sending food back to the kitchen. I opted to write this review instead and warn as many people as possible. If you feel like spending $200 and have a good time, go to Emiril's.
Worst dining experience ever – Dining at Pearl was the worst restaurant experience I ever had. The hostess was so snobby and treated us as though we were beneath her. The service was horribe and it was a slow night. Most of the tables around us were empty so there is no excuse for the poor service. It took 30+ minutes to get our first and only drink. I only ordered one entree on the menu and the waiter couldn't even emember it. He asked me 3 different times what I had ordered. We waited for our meal for about an hour and even the food was awful. The sushi is below average and didn't taste fresh. The wine was watered down; we couldn't even finish our glasses. And to top off this terrible experience, the bill was wrong. We were billed for a dish we didn't even order. What a rip off.
Electric Decor – Just upstairs from Nikki Beach, its easier to get into, and much less pretentious, even though its primarily a Champagne bar. The orange glow and geometric designs are great, and not really imitated anywhere else in miami, its a much better place to lounge than dine.
This kitschy hot spot attracts the urban hip with its Austin Powers-like decor, dancing and champagne bar. – In Short
The psychedelic dining area features orange fur walls, polka-dot tables, a wall of bubbling water, and giant-seashell chairs at the bar. Late nights, the local beautiful people flock here to dance seductively until the wee hours. Nibble on caviar and strawberries, and sip champagne at the bar. Or sit down for a full meal with typical entrees including gorgonzola-crusted beef tenderloin and seared yellowtail snapper. Nightly tasting menus paired with wine flights are available.
Great WeekEnd-er – Great scene to end the weekend with on a Sunday night... Would recommend the tasting menu - as it offers a variety of choices accompanied with a tasting of four suburb desserts. The wait staff and diners are beautiful which only adds to the hot spots decor and great view. Service is a touch slow - which is expected in the sunshine state. head to Nikki Beach Club downstairs to continue the weekend/party. comparable NYC prices -would revisit.
This is it – My group went to Pearl on a Sunday night, supposedly the place to be on a Sunday. The food was great. Our server was helpfull and attentive. But the thing that impressed us the most was the fact that at about 11ish the place turns into a club along with Nikki Beach downstairs. That's what made our night. People watching everyone walk through the doors as we ate our dinner. The music was great and kept things going all night. It was our last night in Miami, and it definitely made our trip!!!
Un-real night – Had no problem getting a VIP table right next to the DJ booth (courtesy of EmpireEvents), with Scottie Pippen at the table to the right of me, and Brittany Spears at the table to left of me. It was probably the most fun I ever had at a night club. the music was flowing, the place was packed with beautiful people, and the party was pumping all night. You need to roll with a fat wallet however, as the bill for 2 bottles of Crystal and 2 bottles of Crown Royal was over 2 grand, otherwise not a night I can do every weekend!!!
Definition of Rip-Off – HIGH END prices paired with SUB-PAR (below the standard) meal/service. This place should certainly focus on the nightclub business with their "Vegas showgirls" entertainment walking around the restaurant. . . their culinary skills do not meet our expectations. Unfortunate experience, at our expense. . . our tab was well past the $1000 range for a party of 12. For that kind of $, you're better off heading to Joe Stone Crabs, where you expect high prices but are treated with respect and served with excellent meal.
Cool & Hip !!!!!! – The place has an excellent set up....Cool sunk in bar in the middle of the place. Great music......Typical SOBE prices on drinks...VERY PRICEY !!!!!!!!!!
definitely a unique 80s theme...something i dont ordinarily see (or even find) in nyc. thursday night was open bar til 12 so it was all good. it's worth checking it out.
Not Worth Your $$$ – The food was so so (it was under cooked) and the host has his nose up to the ceiling the whole time. Not only was he rude, he treated my party as if we weren't good enough to eat at the restaurant. We left soon after our appertizers and couldn't wait to get out from the place! ITS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!!
the real story.... – Pearl is NOT worth your money or time. 4 of us went for dinner, and were so turned off by the totally stuck up wait staff, we ended up ordering water, 4 drinks, and 4 crappetizers, and paid $200 (not inc tip) !!!
This place's food is pedestrian at best, with even worse service and a played out decor. However, Nikki Beach, right next door is one of the coolest places to hang day or night in SoBe.
Well Done – Very beatifully decorated, great ambience.
The food was very well done.
Reservations made should be honored.
Very Cool! – I visited Pearl for the first time this past weekend. The atmosphere was AMAZING!! The staff was very nice. The seating arrangement was a little disappointing. The music was rather loud, and my companion was seated across the table...but it seemed more distant than most restaurants. The food was good overall. My steak was a bit tough, but otherwise...everything was great. The champagne bar also offered just the right "after dinner" mood.
awasome night on south beach! – Arrived 12:30am. thought the atmosphere was O.K then the DJ got warmed up and the dance floor started moving. I was not impressed with the dance floor as it was too small to be labled a club. What made Pearl was the outside area out back. What a f@#$% amazing set-up which has to be seen to be believed with beds? tables? tents? recliners?..........very cool!
Trendy Hip joint – This place is out of this world. It has the most awesome night life. And great food.
bad management – I was reading about this restaurant and i was also told it was a great and unique place to go to. But to my surprise it was the rudest place i have ever been to. From the start i was alraedy getting mad. The hostess did not write down the reservation correctly. After that, the food was great but the service was very alike to a cheap bar on a saturday night. The music is extremely loud in the backround and you can be sure that your waiter is going to get at least one of your orders wrong. The management is obnoxious and pushy, i am guessing that they don't have enough tables to seat that many people because after you are done eating they snatch your plates when you are done eating and tell you to go wait in the bar for your check. "The food is great."
Perfect! – Exceeded all ot our expectations. We were absolutely blown away by the atmosphere, the food and the amazing service- thanks again, Ricky! I will be sure to tell everyone I know about the amazing time we had.
Bogart in orange – Pearl is very SoBe. The food is good, a little expensive, but in keeping with the area. Watch the drink price though, you can be surprised with some. Crowd is definitely into itself, but the people watching is great. Service is adequate. Be prepared, the place simply pulses with music. The decor an lighting is pure Miami. Its romantic but really in an edgy sort of way, tables are close and privacy is not on the menu. But where else can the birthday boy next to you feel up a friend while getting his birthday kiss form his date?
JUST PLAIN FUN! – I would not have been surprised by arrogant doormen, overpriced drinks, casual service, and less than spectacular food, when visiting such a "trendy hotspot". Not to mention beautiful people stuck on themselves. What I was surprised with was extremely friendly attention, GOOD drinks, only slightly higher than the norm, great food, and really beautiful people, that were as nice as coudl be. Want to experience the South Beach scene? It is hard to beat PEARL! Just plain fun!
