Great Place for Fun. My husband and I came here for a fun evening with no expections. We arrived before 10pm and found most of the tables already taken. We enjoyed the music videos, but thought too much Michael Jackson was played. There were a lot of great looking people aged from 30+ (to 50s?). No specific dress code. Some people came in jeans...others more formal. Everyone seemed to have a great time and the place was packed by 11pm. A great place to hang out with friends. After awhile, the music gets old. After a few hours of fast songs, we were hoping for a few slow songs, which never came. Overall, a fun time.
Never again!.
We came July 5th, 2008 Saturday evening for a disco music night
We came around 9:30pm and it was not crowded yet, remembering outside line from 2 years ago we thought it is because we came early. We easily found a table and started listening to some disco worm up mix and around 10:00pm we went to the floor for Funky Town and we thought disco night is starting.
Despite terrible loudspeaker quality I thought we will have decent dance night, but not counting occasional flashes of real disco stuff we only got to the dance floor 3 or 4 times for a song or two!
DISCO night without a song from Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the _ang, Chic, Blondie, Sister Sledge, Wild Cherry, ABBA, Village People, ? you get the picture, but can you imagine DISCO night without any of it !!! ???
There was some starting Bee Gees mix, Michael Jackson?s Billy Jean, some other lukewarm stuff, no real mega songs, midnight came and horror became even bigger.
DJ decided to change theme for that night and instead of DISCO music started techno/dance rave NOISE!!!
We decided to leave at 12:30am and would never, ever come again to this place.
Cons:
This is not a place where you meet nice good looking people, it is a place of last resort for middle aged women and men of all kinds hungry for quick scoring, but you do not care about that if you are dancing for your own good time with music you like, but when music is terrible you notice all of it.
If you are not looking for quick scoring but coming with friends for DISCO dance, don?t bother, this place is not what it was before and DJ has no clue what is DISCO music. Research, look for DISCO somewhere else, but real DISCO definitively departed this place long time ago.
If you are coming for something else, lower your expectations to a minimum and make sure you know what you are doing.
Pro:
Cute waitresses and huge bouncers with friendly faces make you feel safe enough in that place.
It's a great place....if you're 43. Eh, I guess this place is cool when going for the first time. It gets old fast?mainly because most of the patrons are OLD. You get a lot of people in their 40s?especially cougars looking for younger guys. It?s not a frat boy kinda of place. You also see a lot of bridal/bachelor party groups there. The music is too loud at times, but the DJ doesn?t care. You get a lot of divorced people there?kinda weird.
They should call it "CLUB SCAREYOKE". You hear it on the radio: "Club karaoke on thursdays-the hottest BLAH BLAH BLAH". They should find someone different to run it. I go to much better karaoke places than that! And the hosts are nasty rude and half the time drunk and beligerant. They should call it club SCARYOKE! I hate places that pay out all that money for advertising hype and then they can't deliver. However, I can say that their bartending staff is very friendly and give wonderful service.
Best Dancing Around. Absolutely so much fun! Went with two groups of friends -- one on Friday night and the other on Saturday night. WOW! We had a blast...age range is especially nice. No slime ball guys. No drunk jerks. Lots of new dance space since a year or so ago. Loved the decor, music videos, bar tenders were fun and hot and efficient. Bouncers were present but reserved like the Secret Service, and weren't needed. Loved knowing every single song, and not worrying about dancing with the girls. Wished more guys would just ask us to dance, or join in and dance instead of standing on the sidelines. Come on guys! We don't bite and we don't judge your dancing skill as long as ya try and just smile and have fun! Great way to exercise too. Loved Neecy, the ladies room attendant. What a great gal. Ordered Grey Goose on the rocks with extra limes and it was filled to the rim of the glass! Most generous 'on the rocks' serving I've had anywhere recently. Will go back at least once a month. Love it! So much better than when it was first opened as Karma years and years ago. Great format, classy decor, fun patrons, and good time had by all!

Time machine. Time machine, back in time not only music but clothes too. Oh yeah and I will never forget older, drunk ladies dancing "s@xy" on a dance floor gross! walked out in 15 min.
This is a fun place to be. It's all about the dancing for me, so I really enjoyed being there. The service could be better (I did not have cash, and bartender saw me waiting for 5 minutes; I had to go to main bar to find out that hey, they have an ATM at the front--lost 15 minutes with my friends--he knew I had a debit card--come again?), the drinks could be stronger for the price... But, very high energy and good design, layout, friendly and trendy crowd. Highly recommend. Definitely would come back.
