Visit the Alley @ Bite of Seattle! – The Comcast Bite of Seattle is this weekend (July 16-18), and The Alley Hosted by Tom Douglas is a “tasty” attraction you won’t want to miss. For just $10 you’ll get “tastes” from some of the area’s finest restaurants, meet the chefs preparing some of this delicious food, and you’ll help end hunger because all proceeds benefit Food Lifeline.

Gourmands converge on the Seattle Center once a year to eat themselves into a delicious stupor. – The Experience
More than 60 local restaurants showcase their yummiest creations at this three-day event in late July. Booths from eateries as diverse as Chutneys and the Frankfurter offer entrees for no more than $5, and tasting samples for $2. The cream of Seattle's fine-dining establishments congregate in Kathy Casey's Alley. Here, Bite-goers pay a flat fee per entry (around $8) and gorge themselves on a buffet from restaurants such as the Dahlia Lounge, Coho Café and Cactus. In addition to edible attractions, the Bite features seven stages for music, including one devoted entirely to kids.

Facts
Entry to the Bite is free and with reasonable entree prices, indulging doesn't have to mean splurging. Those who really don't want to part with their dollars can lounge on the grass and watch music for free.
