Am I in the twilight zone??!! – You have got to be kidding me!!! My boyfriend and I went in here because we didn't want to go anywhere with a crowd, and it took the waitress LITERALLY 20 minutes to get to our table. I asked the older couple behind us if they had a waitress and they said they just ordered waters, so she should be here soon. She finally gets there and I ask her the happy hour deal. It was the typical pbr, bud, etc, 2 for one. I really didn't want that but being it was 2 for 1, how do I turn that down. I asked for a lime with my pbr (i know i know) and when my beer finally came, no lime, no biggie, i just asked the other girl and got one. So........it came time for my second beer. I asked her for it, and she said "I need your chip"...I looked down at the table, and there was no chip. She NEVERRRRR gave me a chip (swear on my life). She argued with me and said she did. Ok ok, so regardless, there was no chip. So I said Im sorry I dont have it. Do you want to look in my purse?? I mean really.....am i that hard up, im gonna steal a chip for a pbr!!!!n Anyway, i paid for happy hour, just ignore it and lets move on, and just please bring my other beer. OHHHH NOOOOO, I am not joking (cause I know this sounds so unrealistic)...the girl......would......not.....give....me...my...other...beer.....NO JOKE!!!! And argued with me. We are no thugs, normal people going to have some beers after work!! I have waited tables and bartended for 11 years, and I have never in my life had this horrible of service!!!! We are great tippers, she really screwed up!!!! Tall brunette, eye makeup, tattoos, nose ring. I couldnt believe it. I was pissed. I didnt get my second beer i paid for because i didnt have my gosh damn chip!!!!!!! That she never effing GAVE ME!!!!!! Ok, so she brings my check, turns around talks about me in front of me to another waitress! The check was $3.25, I gave her $3.30 and i asked her to bring my change. She looked at me, and stuck her nose up and said "Are you serious, you want 5 cents back?' I was floored. Are you seriously going to question a customer about their money....AND expect you to be worth my 5 cents when you are the worst server i have ever encountered in my life?????? REALLY?????? Mann....I would never ever ever go to this place or recommend this place to anyone!!!! It's always dead, horrible HORRIBLE horrendous service. She would rather run away customers, then just give me my second PBR????? Wow..........wow. I'm in process of getting ahold of the owner and management. But, it seems if they are allowed to act like that, they are probably all screwed up. I never did mention to her, she never brought my friggin lime!!!!
Wtf kind of place only serves 3 sodas? – My boyfriend and I went here to try some place new. We walked in, took a seat and waited 20 minutes before a waitress approached us as we were getting ready to leave. When we ordered drinks, the waitress told me they only service 3 sodas, (coke, diet coke, and sprite, I believe). I asked for a glass of water and she gave me water from the tap. It tasted awful. When we received our food, my chicken sandwich was undercooked in the center. My boyfriend said his philly steak was the worst he had. The onion rings tasted like they were deep fried with toothpaste in the middle.
I will never consider giving them a second chance.
Great staff – The waitresses were all so kind and helpful. The bartender was rude but the wait staff really took care of us. Great drink specials and overall fun time.
Horrible Service – The building is nice, but thats about it. You would think during a recession that service would at least be friendly, but the way all the staff treated our party was if we were a burden on them. It was obvious that the waitresses hated eachother, and did not want to be at work. I had asked where the restrooms were, and the short snide remark I got was " I am not your waitress". I would not ever recommend this place to anyone, especially considering how many establishments would be thrilled in these tough times to have our business.
Terrible Customer Service – Though this place might have some decent drink special, that's about it. The employees are rude and pretencious. It seems if you don't fit their idea of "cool" then you aren't worth their time. How very uncool.
Bitchy Bartenders – I have no complaints about The Bank besides the really RUDE bartenders. I purchased a V.I.P. card on a Friday that allows $2.00 drinks ALWAYS. I got there during shift change and when I went to close out my tab, they charged me full price for all my drinks. I politely explained that I had purchased the card, to which the first bartender claimed "couldn't change what he'd already ran on my credit card." Which I know if b.s., I've been a server and bartender before. So we (my friends and I) started trying to tell him this and finally I gave up and was going to just take the charges...well then a server overheard us discussing this and was like, "yeah we accept those cards," and went to see if he could do something (Props to him). Then comes in the second bitchy bartender that tells me they A. Don't sell those cards anymore B. It's not her fault that I didn't tell her I had the card when the previous bartender should have upon transferring my tab C. And got SUCH and attitude with me and my friends we REFUSE to sit at the bar from her on out... the SERVING staff is AWESOME. Don't waste your money tipping these rude-ass bartenders.
Fun Bar/Restaurant! – Although parking can sometimes be hard to find, The Bank Bar & Grill is an awesome place!! A super fun, laid-back, bar atmosphere and great food!! Delicious, big burgers at a fair price. They have some unique shots and I huge liquor list. I love it there!!
Good Times – I was at the Bank this weekend and it was a blast. The drinks are affordable and the people there are there to have fun, not just be seen. I would recommend the Bank any time you were looking for a relzxing, chill night out on the town.
Cheap beer, good eats and Colfax Ave. Who could ask for anything more? – In Short
It's been a long time since the Capitol Hill State Bank was a functional institution of finance. The torch has been passed on to the owners of Park Tavern, on 11th near Corona. The result: A place that appeals to the neighborhood and is worth making a trek to. The drink prices are a steal, and the food (burgers and bar fare) more than palatable.
disappointment – After a long trip from a warmer climate, we entered the establishment dressed for tropical weather. Soaked from a rain storm and freezing, we were seated, ordered drinks (hot chocolate for me to warm up), ordered lunch, drinks brought to the table, all by the manager on duty. While waiting for our meal, I was informed that my attire was not appropriate, specifically my xl sleeveless t-shirt, by a waitress wearing a shirt with sleeves shorter than mine. At this point we were refused service.
