An exceptional selection of generously cut fish at surprisingly low prices. – The Scene
With high ceilings and floor-length windows facing St. Charles Avenue, this spacious Japanese sanctuary (formerly Little Tokyo) appeals not only to sushi fanatics and young professionals but also to students and service industry workers, thanks to unusually late hours and low prices. Service is hit-or-miss, but staggering orders keeps items from coming all at once.

The Food
A wide range of salads, tapas, soups, tempura, udon and teriyaki frame the main attraction: sushi, served exceptionally fresh in thick, long pieces over sticky rice with just the right tang. Single-piece prices foster greater variety, allowing for more exotic picks like sea urchin, baby soft shell crab and salmon roe with raw quail egg. Rolls range from standards like crunchy and California to cutting-edge treats such as soft-shell crawfish fried and rolled in avocado, cucumber, rice, seaweed and sweet, warm ponzu sauce.

Mmmm... Sushi – We love to order from Tokyo Bistro for lunch at the office. It's partly because of it's convienient local, but the food is excellent.

AMAZING – I recently moved into town. Japanese food is my favorite so I decided to go there because I live nearby. For the price of what I ordered I was expecting what in my country, Spain, we consider normal at a Japanese restaurant since they are expensive. When the waitress came with the orders I was amazed not only for the quantity but for the quality. I will definitely go back and highly recommend Tokyo Bistro to everybody.
