My family and I decided to visit Modesto, and the reasonable prices caught my attention. When I checked in, the girl at the front desk was surprisingly upbeat and friendly. There were freshly baked cookies set out, and the lobby looked very clean and stylish. As we got up to our room, the only thing I wish they would fix is there is no air conditioning in the hallways, just open windows. Our room had a wonderful view of a koi pond and the pool, which was nice because we did not want to face the parking lot. Our room was alittle small, but made up for it with lots of amenties. Microwave, refridgerator, coffee maker, and a VERY comfy bed. All in all, must say we had a wonderful experience.
I travel extensively for my job, but on this occasion I was traveling for personal reasons. My brother, sister-in-law and I had driven up to Modesto from Los Angeles to attend a family funeral. We were unfamiliar with the area and unsure where to stay, so we arrived with no reservations. It was late in the day after a very long drive, and we were exhausted. I normally stay at Hilton Hotels, and we first stopped in at the Marriott down the street, but the rude attitude of the desk clerk sent us right back out to the car despite how tired we were. We had passed the Comfort Inn, so I called to check on availability and rates. Claire, the front desk person, was utterly charming. She was so helpful and friendly on the telephone that we decided to check out the property. When we arrived, we found a clean, well-maintained facility and a smiling Claire. She was professional and efficient, but also very warm and personable. Our rooms were great, and we loved the courtyard with the koi pond. My sister-in-law commented that it was like a secret oasis. The next morning, Claire was still on duty, and still smiling and gracious. A second young lady was also at the desk, and although I did not get her name she was every bit as friendly. We don't often get to Modesto, but should any of us ever have occasion to be there again we have agreed we will most certainly choose the Comfort Inn based on this experience.
May 2012 I stayed 4 nights at this Comfort Inn in Modesto. I picked this hotel because I'd used the same company before while in Alabama, and they don't price you out of your vacation. Fantastic cleaning staff. I never saw them, but when I returned to my room each evening, it was cleaned, bedding was made, trash done and supplies (towels, shampoo, soap, plastic cups, etc)
Guest service was incredibly fast, helpful and courteous. A lot better than tons of places I've stayed at before. Friendliness was definitely the top of their agenda. ,really cozy and extremely well kept and the bed was nice and comfortable. Honestly nothing to complain about the room,no odors or lack of any supplies. Breakfast in the morning was also pretty good, was surprised that from as basic as it looked, how filling and great it tasted. Definitely would stay again if I ever travel passing around the area again.
I liked everything about this hotel down to small touches such as providing a rubber bathmat. The bed was perfect; the new flat screen TV with HBO was just fine, and I enjoyed the view of the peaceful courtyard with its Koi pond right outside the sunny breakfast room.
Great staff & relaxing stay, room's were comfortable & hot breakfast very good so many item's to choose from. Price was very reasonable , will be back again.
