Didn't expect much - pleasantly surprised – We are from Australia, and were staying at a hotel down the street. Great hotel, but food in the restaurant there did not suite us. So we decided to try
Sports bar that is part of a hotel chain – Based on the lack of service this restaurant must rely on tourists. The service was truly terrible. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes without seeing a waiter I got up and complained to a waiter about the lack of service. He told me that if I didn't like it I could leave. I took his advice, rather than ordering food I had one beer and left to find a real sports bar!
ehhhhh – bartenders were cool, food was ehhh and service was even worse. probably won't go back. i should've just stuck with gillian's or something.
Love the Angus Burger – If you are a fan of great burgers, check out the Angus Burger at Knuckles! It was Great! Order along with a draft beer, very satisfactory. With all the televisions in the place you are able to catch all of the playoff action. Checked out the Spurs game the other night! Love the atmosphere and the bartenders.
Warning: Not really a sports bar – It hurts to even think of this family restaurant as a "historic sports bar." If you?re a dad looking to take the kids to an overpriced dinner and get away with watching some sports, then this place is for you. Don?t worry, you will fit right in. Also don?t worry about your wife catching you looking at the waitresses, unless of course you are into little Asian ladies in there mid fifties. If you?re looking to watch some sports, have some wings, and get boozed up while a hot little waitress with some double D's exploding out of her shirt serves you beer, then please take my advice and avoid this location.
Awesome Barbeque – Have not been there since college football 2004. Went back for Saturday college ball again. They now have a great BBQ menu with smoked meats and fantastic beans.
A must try. My hangout again for the coming season.

The mother of all sports bars located in the Hyatt Hotel on Fisherman's Wharf. – The Scene
This sprawling bar-restaurant is much bigger and cleaner than an average sports bar--but it's still okay to throw peanut shells on the floor. Museum-quality, black-and-white sports photos hang on the 30-foot-high walls. A whopping 28 TVs--including five plasmas and a massive 122-inch screen over the bar--are mounted throughout the main room. Past the salad bar, a game room holds pool tables and video games.
Due to its location, Knuckles is routinely filled with visitors and families. The main attraction is unmistakable: sports. Groups of locals will show up for the sheer variety of games and number of TVs. The bar houses a kitchen that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service is friendly and prompt. There aren't many "regulars" here, but the atmosphere is lively.
