Best Restaurant in Dallas... – I love Steel's atmosphere. I hadn't been to Steel in over three months, and the valet remembered my name. It was like he wasn't even human, but like a robot trapped in a valets body. In my opinion " He broke the chain off, and left it dangling" As far as the service inside, it was Four star. The server was very informative and didn't mind special treatment. They made it happen, and i would recommend Steel for all your sushi needs.

P.S. The valet had the cars waiting for our party as we exited the restaurant

way too expensive-- not impressive – I had heard positive things about Steel and since it is one of the new trendy Dallas hot spots I thought I would give it a try. What a mistake. Dallas has much, much better sushi places. In fact, if you look at their sushi menu you will realize immediately that sushi is not their specialty. They have a very small menu and have very few specialty or adventurous roles. We received mediocre roles and a huge bill at the end of the night. We go out all the time--we spend a lot of money on dinners out. But we walked away disappointed due to the food and very high prices. We ordered some other items off of the regular menu and were underwhelmed. Please go elsewhere if you want good food.

Great happy hour! – This is the best happy hour for the middle of the week. Wed. nights they serve free sushi and $2 domestics, $3 imports. The sushi is amazing for buffet/free sushi. It is very crowded so come early and save spots for your friends. It can get really loud if you are trying to dine and just enjoy good conversation, but for a meeting place with friends--I would recommend it.

More Fun on Sunday – Great Sushi and other stuff. Sunday 1/2 priced wine night is the great deal. Try the house rolls,i nteresting and fun.

Best Sushi in America – I've been around the world (on my company's expense account) for dining at sushi restaurants. There are few places, if any, that top Steel's sushi. We sat at the bar, and the service was somewhat slow. But the sushi was perfectly wonderful. I'll be going back -- a lot.

It was packed at 8:30 on a Tuesday night. I suggest reservations.

Chic and showy Indochine cuisine served in a dining room to match. – The Scene
The interior is dramatic, with 12-foot-tall translucent curtains dividing the dining room and numerous accents vying for attention: colorful art glass, candelabra and bamboo plants. Caramel-hued wooden chairs and floors give the space a warm glow. Clientele is largely 30- and 40-something professionals, enjoying expense-account lunches by day and dinners by night. Cocktail drinkers gravitate toward a full bar that's handsomely appointed with mirrors and pendulum-hung spotlights.

The Food
The extensive menu offers sushi and "Japanese and Indochine" dishes, which arrive picture-perfect on arty serving platters. Bento boxes are a popular lunchtime choice: each contains California roll, egg roll, rice and salad, with choices like sake-marinated sea bass or sauteed beef tenderloin. Highly recommended are seafood dishes seasoned Vietnamese-style with sea salt, garlic, onion and jalapeno pepper--the calamari is flavorful and meltingly tender. At dinner, rack of lamb, filet mignon and whole lobster appear on the menu.

Better than Nobu!!! – This kicks Nobu's butt on food, service and the price. My first time here was for my own bachelorette party and we all loved it. They seated us promptly with great service throughout our entire meal, and the menu was fantastic. They are much more adventerous when it comes to the sushi rolls, and they have a great variety to choose from. I loved everything that I tried, and I would go back in a heart beat.

great experience – I took my fiancee to Steel for his birthday, and he loved it. We only ordered from the sushi menu. Everything was very fresh, but a little pricey. (I've been to sushi restaurants that were just as good, but less expensive.) For dessert we had a molten chocolate cake that was to die for. Very nice decor

Impress your clients or date! – Cozy, hot, fun and great food. One of my favorties for sushi and sakes. Just beats the snot outta Blue Fish when it comes to atmosphere and class--and the food is great, even if you don't like sushi. Lots of variety on the menu. They don't mind special requests. Specialty dining areas for groups too. Good location in Centrium building at corner of Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs.
