Mountain-lodge decor and slow-cooked meats draw barbecue lovers and sports fans to this woodsy chain restaurant.. In Short
Rustic accents like logs, lanterns and fieldstone may adorn the exterior, but inside, it's all about ceiling-mounted TVs for fans who want sports with their spicy food. A large bar with a giant television dominates, while flanking wooden booths come with audio selectors and easy views of nearby screens. Sundry meats are cooked in-house over hickory wood: pulled pork (hand-pulled daily), baby back ribs, barbecued chicken, smoked beef brisket and various combination platters.

CLOSED!!!. Very disappointed. This was the greatest rib place in the area! Don't know what happened :-( Went there the other nite and the sign was gone and the place was dark. We are all missing a great place.

WOW! GREAT EXPERIENCE, AMAZING FOOD AND WONDERFUL SERVICE!!. I've been searching all over the Chicagoland area for a restaurant where I can get my barbeque fix while the family is able to enjoy food more to their own taste. I've finally found my new home at Smokey Bones! Started off with a big smile from the host at the door, he even opened the door for my wife. We were quickly seated at a large booth facing a large bank of TV's. Our seater soon explained that there was actually a speaker at our table where we would be able to listen to the TV's. Any place that offers "free babysitting" is aces in my book. Our server was over shortly introducing herself and offering a few suggestions. I was impressed how much information she had and how proud she sounded about the quality of the food. Oh, by the way, the restaurant was super clean, I couldn't believe it when our server told us the building was 30 years old! Back to the meal, piping hot onion rings and ice cold beer, I was in heaven. Before I knew it our main course had arrived. The server delievered our food correctly the first time, very nice touch. Every plate looked great, steam rising, full plates, and fresh looking. Very impressed again. I wasn't disappointed by the flavor either, it was fresh. And for dessert? A BAG OF DONUTS!?!?! But, wow, what a bag! Hot, Fresh, Donuts! Who would have thought of that for dessert, but the kids loved them. We will be making many more trips to my new favorite place! You've got to try it!

Excellent Place for BBQ. Great place to eat if you're looking for an elbows on the table kind of place. Exellent place to catch a game, the bar has a bunch of TVs and there's a good selection of draft beer.

Worth your money. I thought it worth the price. It was good food in a good atmosphere. If you're looking for the very best BBQ you've ever tasted, then this isn't the place. But if you want some very tasty BBQ while you watch the game...then I'm not sure there's a better place. The ribs are the best of the beef. The pulled pork is really good...especially if put on the garlic toast that comes with the meal. The cole slaw & baked beans are the best regular sides. The beer battered onion rings are worth the upgrade. Ask for extra ribs glaze.

Average barbecue.... If you are a sports enthusiast looking for ok food and a place to watch the game - this place is for you. If you are just interested in some good barbecue... you should try it once, but its nothing exciting. In fact, Famous Dave's has this place beat hands down. Especially in the hot sauce department. Table top speakers are a cool feature, although there are seats that don't have a good view of the tvs. Atmosphere is cool, wooden benchs are a nice touch. Waiter are friendly and very good at explaining the menu, sauces, etc...
