Far-out fitness makes exercising fun. – The Scene
Progressive in a playful sort of way, this chain packs the house with adventuresome types bored with standard aerobic workouts. With everything from a boxing ring to voyeuristic peek-a-boo showers, thumping beats and black rubber floors, this may well be the fitness form of the future.
Spicy samba-tinged numbers will leave you hot-hot-hot, as will Cardio Striptease, which mimics moves of, er, strippers. For business types, Netpulse Internet training bikes let you shed poundage while staying connected, while the Broadway dance series puts stars in the eyes of actors-in-waiting. Legions of elliptical trainers, treadmills and StairMasters are on hand as well. After your workout, huff and puff your way to the juice bar or steam and sauna rooms for a well-deserved chill.
Not as good as it used to be – I have been a member of Crunch since it opened, and the quality/cleanliness is not what it used to be.
Upscale club without Upscale attitude – Energy is amazing in these clubs. Really funky, fun vibe. You can tell they don't take themselves seriously - except when it comes to providing a quality club with great classes. Neighborhood club feel, but upscale offerings. Couldn't believe the rates - about $60/mo. It's about time somenoe did it right in Chicago.
ALWAYS MOTIVATED – The classes at Crunch are awesome. Never have I ever had a gym that offers so many different types of classes with great instructors who always keep me motivated to keep coming back. I recommend Ultimate Conditioning, they offer it at least 3x's a week
phat funk-take it – the phat funk class is great-the instructor has a faithful following every week, too bad it's not offered more than once a week, also the yoga class with brent is a great work out. would get better ratings if there was at least a hot tub-no pool also BUT it is very clean! WITHOUT these two instructors would probably not renew memebership. it was a better deal to pay everything upfront vs. month to month, but be prepared to throw down a good chunk of change-
