Horrible Time – My sister bought tickets for the Avatar movie at 1:52 pm for 12 people in our group for the show at 10:15 pm (February 12th). She and one of her friends clearly stated that it was for tonight February 12th 2010 at 10:15 pm. They gave her 12 tickets for Feb 13th at 10:15pm. Innocently she did not realize that it was for the 13th until we tried to get into the show. We showed up an hour and 30min prior to the show, because we had planned it all week. We were notified only when we tried to get in. So then we had to wait another 15min until everyone was through the line to talk with a manager named Ben. He was not very understanding and not very willing to work with us. We tried to tell him about our situation and his attitude was that of tough luck. He clearly stated that he did not work during the time the tickets were purchased, and if we would have bought the tickets at 5pm then he might be able to do something for us. We wanted to get reimbursed for the tickets we bought. All he did for us was comp the imax tickets which is good for one year. He acted like it was our fault that this error had occurred. He did not say sorry, he did act like he really cared. What this has taught me is that I never ever want to go to the Raleigh Imax again. I'm even resentful in even having to go back to the place. I suggest to not go to the Raleigh Imax. All other Imax theaters I have had a good experience at.

IMAX Raleigh....Save your money – not only was i dispointed when i walked in the door, to see a "digital imax screen" that is probably half the size of a real imaz dome. The 3d movie i was watching BARELY had the 3d affect pop out, sometimes it didnt at all. Projectionist's fault more than anything. I talked to freinds that went to charlotte and the things they saw that i didnt is amazing to me. i honestly want my money back. if the 3d had of been done right, then MAYBE i wouldnt complain about the screen but the fact of the matter is, this was the worst let down in the history of my movie going. dont waste your money go to charlotte

Great Screen, Horrible Service – I paid online (which is an extra $1.50 per ticket and $2.00 processing fee) to get tickets for a 7:00 showing of Star Trek on Thursday May 14th and was at the Imax at 6:30 to claim the tickets. I had to wait 30 minutes in the line to purchase tickets, not a separate designated line. By the time i get my tickets and i'm in the theater the only spots left are front and to the far side. I sat about 20 feet away from the screen to the far left, where I couldn't actually see the top of the screen and barely the right side. Plus, I had to look almost straight up just to see anything. I paid $13.45 a ticket+$2.00 to have a huge neck cramp, headache, and back ache for 2 hours. I made attempts to contact Marbles, which ended in them telling me they don't allow refunds and cannot do anything. I've been watching movies at this Imax for years now and after this experience I have to say i'm done. The worst part of this is I cannot even say if the movie was good or not.

Great Viewing Experience, Don't Go At Night....Beware of Blattas – We went to see the 7pm showing of Dark Knight and the viewing experience was absolutely wonderful. The screen was huge and made you feel like you were actually in the movie and the surround sound was perfectly crisp. However, the seats are not very comfortable (they don't recline and the cushions aren't very soft) and the theater itself is a little on the small side. Unfortunately, once we exited the theater there were hundreds of BLATTAS swarming all over the walkway from the entrance/exit doors all the way past the Children's Museum! We had to actually jump over them as we half walked briskly and half jogged to the safety of the street corner. It was absolutely disgusting!!! If you go, just go during the day as the night will bring out BLATTAS that range from 2 to 3 inches in length. If you are adamant about going at night, make sure you wear closed toe shoes.

This wide-angle screen swallows its audience for a true movie experience. – In Short
The screen here is so large that it practically engulfs the audience--you find yourself gazing up and around as the wide angle screen draws you into the action. The experience is so real that you become a part of the scenery: flinching, feeling, flying. Imax runs films specially made for this type of screen. It usually features soaring landscapes, perfectly-shot nature footage and enough action to take your breath away.

Huge! – Finally I don't have to drive to Myrtle Beach for the Imax experience! The movies that are generally shown are in documentary format. Each film I have seen here has been wonderful. Mysteries of Egypt is my favorite.

Great experience – WE found this a wonderful experience. You were engrossed in the movie, not just watcing it from afar. I highly recommend it for all ages, but especially children.
