Always a good experience! – PF Chang's is one of my favorite restaurants in the twin cities area. The food is excellent! My favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken. The Lo Mein is also very good! I have never had any bad food here. They have also started taking reservations and I have never had a problem getting in when I was supposed to. I love going here and recommend it to anyone I can! They have complimentary valet parking, because parking can be so difficult sometimes!
Reservations don't help!! – I dine at a number of restaurants on a regular basis, and PF Change does something horrible that no other restaurant does: they *always* make you wait for a table even though you have reservations.
Last Friday, we had reservations for 8pm. We arrived at 7:55p and were handed a pager. At 8:15p I asked what the deal was. They said they would seat us "any minute". Finally, at 8:25p we were seated. 10 minutes later our server finally showed up. Every time I've gone there, it's been the same story, so obviously they don't plan to respect their reservations.
I won't go back, I like their food, but the service is annoying.
GREAT chain. – Alright, so I'm embarrassed to write but P.F. Changs is excellent. Being a foodie, I usually wouldn't go to a chain restaurant. The food and ambiance here is great. I LOVE the pin rice noodle soup (spicy goodness) and the mongolian beef with veggies added. Additionally, the mango chicken is excellent. I also like that they offer both brown and jasmine rice.
This does not taste like Chinese food – is this restaurant serve chinese food? you must be kidding.
All around goodness! – I have gone to PF Chang's quite a few times and never had a bad experience. Everything I have ate there has been excellent. They have even made things extra spicy at my request! The Lo Mein, Kung Pao Chicken, and the best is the lettuce Wraps. If you need more lettuce, just ask and the will give you more. Service is excellent and this place is well worth the wait. Call ahead though because this place gets crowded. Valet parking is complimentary so you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot in the crowded lot!
Seating According to Party Size – If you are a part of a party of 4, and a group of 6 walks in after you, they will be seated before you if a table for 6 is available, even if your party of 4 had RESERVATIONS. PF Chang's tries to maximize their dining capacity even if it means smaller parties have to wait long even if they were there first. I used to really like PF Chang's, but I grew tired of their seating games. If you don't believe me, just observer the game next time you go.
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites. – In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.
Extremely Well Done – My GF and I recently dined at PF Chang's at the newly-opened Maple Grove location and had a great experience. The atmosphere is very comfortable with dim lighting, oriental decor, and comfortable temperature (a highly important feature for the widely-abundant temperature sensitive females out there). The bar scene is classy with an extensive wine and drink list that provided a comfortable setting while waiting for a table. The martinis were particularly good. Service was top-notch with pleasant staff and glasses always full. Great food came out incredibly quickly, with more-than-ample portions. A quick note to those out there with Gluten-intolerance -- PF Changs is one of the very few oriental restaurants to not utilize flour products in preparing many of their entrees. Overall a great inexpensive experience sure to attract many that inevitably become regulars.
Pf Chang's – Excellent food, great service staff, good prices.
The only drawback is that I can't eat as much as I want to eat of the great food.
Call ahead for 11:45.... – ...which we did and even though it was lunch time, it was a great idea. The service was good even while the restuarant was busy- very attentive. Our group of 4 liked our meals. Szechuan Chicken Chow Fun, Kung Pao Chicken, Lo Mein, and Coconut Curry Chicken. We had lettuce wraps and sechuan cucumbers for appetizers. The wraps were good, but 5 pieces of letttuce for all the meat isn't enough. I would recommend it to try it, but know what you like or what you would like to share.
