Authentic, modern Japanese restaurant in Fremont, serving fresh local sushi and special fish delivered from Japan

Amazing lunch sushi! Unheard of outside of the chains, Chiso offers fresh and flavors - they deliver every time. Sit at the sushi bar and watch the masters work, drop in for happy hour for even more ridiculous pricing.

Good sushi - good atmosphere. I guess my expectations were too high. The atmosphere is excellent, service was really good. I thought the sushi was okay, but I really think Ohana's was better.

Grab some quality sushi and sake. Get a cup of hatsumago and enjoy quality sushi at a small and stylish corner of Fremont. Before coming here, I was a conveyor-belt-sushi fanatic, but the quality really stands out at Chiso. The hatsumago cant be missed; it is the perfect touch to any sushi on the menu. There is small capacity for seating, so arrive early. The ETA for orders can get quite long, so order plenty for the 1st round. The waitresses have always been friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, during my experiences. The menu has a good variety of sushi, and the quality is consistant -- so experiment and try something new. If you think California rolls from the grocery store are high quality, then Chiso is too high of a class for you. The price isnt cheap, but its decent considering gourmet sushi is naturally expensive. The environment is suitable for a date or small group of friends. If you want to see the chefs in action, be sure to get in very early, because the sushi bar gets filled up quickly. The quality over price ratio is hard to beat here in Seattle.

The best kept secret in seattle. This place is amazing, we eat here at least 3 times a month and it's still the absolute best sushi you can get anywhere. We've dined in all sorts of fancy and traditional sushi restaurants around the world and this one is still the best by far.

Best sushi around. We originally went to Chiso because we heard raves about their ankimo (monkfish liver pate), and wound up discovering the best sushi place in Seattle was right in our backyard.

Excellent sushi and the best unagi I've ever had are just the beginning. The ambience is wonderful and the specials are inventive and unusual - things like amber jack (very hard to find at sushi restaurants around here), and a great sake selection.

Parking is a bit of a pain, but it's well worth it.

wonderful. Quality sushi, expertly cut, with a superb variety of specials that's always changing. They have both traditional and creative dishes to offer, and it's always nice to be able to order your tempura by the piece (try the shitake mushroom)! Perfect service, delicious food. It's just lovely. And yes, you pay a bit more for it. :) It is SO worth it.

Great Sushi and not snobby.... Chiso is always a wonderful experience! I come in about once a week and sit at the sushi bar. The food is delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the oysters! I also enjoy talking to Tai Chi, Sean, Peter, Yoshi, Steve and the rest of the gang.
