Always great service, atmosphere and work. A classic. – I first started going here a few years ago, but then moved downtown and started seeing a stylist in my neigborhood. I have only seen Aki, and each time, he is a total sweetie who gives the best cut ever - the Kenneth! Only caveat - the place is booked at a frantic pace so arrive on time so as not to waste a precious minute or put them behind schedule.
My stylist is moving to Miami so I am planning to make Kenneth my regular salon again. Permanently. No exceptions.
I am glad it isn't reviewed too much either....because I don't think anyone that goes here frequently is looking at this site for a new salon since they are problably already happy with this place!
Excellent Men's Services – Believe it or not, this is a great place for men to get a haircut, maybe touch up some of the gray, get a facial or nail services and even waxing. All in a very discreet setting (separate from the women's area). Give it a try!
Best service, atmosphere, haircut, color in NYC – Every woman in my family has gone to Kenneth's - my grandmother to me. It is simply the most civilized place to get any beauty treatment these days - the cuts and color are sublime - and the staff is professional.
Truly Wonderful in every way!!! – I cannot believe nobody had reviewed the Kenneth Salon before me! This place was wonderful. I had my haircut with Kevin Lee (Kenneth's protege) and it was nice to find a hairdresser who could be trusted not to chop up my hair into a layered mess. Kevin gave a great cut, simple and classic yet stylish. Everyone at the salon was courteous and eager to help.
Yes, it is expensive, but it is totally worth it. Haircuts twice the price of this one are not nearly half as good. Very professional. Very trustworthy. Very awesome :)
A classic salon set among the opulent stores and milling tourists of the Waldorf Astoria's lobby. – Just like the storied Waldorf Astoria hotel, Kenneth Salon is subdued, proper, and traffics in immaculate presentation. The Tuscan-inspired space is outfitted with salmon-colored arches beneath china blue ceilings, cushy chairs buttoned up in deep blue slipcovers, and frescoed walls depicting a verdant countryside. The tastefully dressed women who walk in invariably re-immerge with flawless coifs and sparkling nails. In keeping with the old-school chic vibe, stylists will even make house calls for clients willing to pay a steep hourly rate to have their hair or nails done at home.
