BAR 515: FABULOUS TIME!!!!!!! – I went to Bar 515 last week, had a blast. Young trendy crowd. Ages 20's to 30's. Food, service and several flat screen TV's to watch the games. I would highly recommend this bar.
Bar 515: A great time in NYC!!! – I was recently at Bar 515 with a bunch of girlfriends (all RN's living in Manhattan) after work one evenening. The atmosphere and decor was trendy. The food, (I'd definitely recommend the steak), music and flat screen TV's were great. The service was outstanding!!! Great place to hang out and have a few drinks with friends.

A PLACE TO CHILL – Great service, friendly bartenders, delicioussss wings at a reasonable price and any type of beer.
It's where we go for all the games.
Example: great place for good bread – I come to 515 quite often as well as some other establishments in the immediate area. 515 is by far my favorite place for a number of reasons. For starters the atmosphere is friendly and and lively. The bartenders and waitresses are obviously experienced enough to know that the customer comes first. Another plus in my book, and should have been on the top of my list, is the great selection of music that the DJ's play. I always invite my friends here because I know we'll end up having a good time. One more plus is that the menu is constantly improving. Lately I've been ordering up Mexican, because it's inexpensive and that's geared more towards my comfort zone. Last year I had my birthday party here and it was a blast. The management is accommodating and actually had the Nintendo Wii available on the flat screen TV.
Great and Fun Place. – I was at BAR 515, great atmosphere ,great service, great music, good crowd .
What's not to love?
BAR 515 is probably the best bar in the area.
Love this Place!! – I have been here a few times, and enjoyed myself immensely each time. Friendly bartenders, great food, and great drinks during happy hour! Also, the bathrooms are very nice for a bar!
BAD HOSTESS & BAD MANAGEMENT – DO NOT GO HERE!!! We had the worst experience at this establishment. We were watching the College Football National Championship (Go Gators) and we were kicked off of our table and asked to leave. We had ordered about $200 worth of drinks at this point and there were about 20 people in our party. When they threatened to take our table away, I ordered food to keep our spot, but they said "NO" and you guys are gone. I cannot STRESS how BAD THIS PLACE IS. If I were you I would think 10 times before I go to this place. This place is absolutely atrocious for their service. They are so understaffed, unprofessional, and outright rude that it took about 20 minutes to get our first drink. 20 MINUTES!!! If you encounter ANDREA, please give her a tip on my behalf: BE NICE TO CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT, SINCE THEY ARE PAYING YOUR SALARY, YOU MINIMUM WAGE DEGENERATE.
The management at this place doesn't care about your complaints. I called the next day to speak to the manager, and the guy started yelling at me. I could not believe that he was speaking in a loud tone when I maintained calm.
PLEASE HELP US PUT THIS PLACE OUT OF BUSINESS. THIS PLACE DESERVES NO PERSON'S BUSINESS. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO GO TO ON ANY NIGHT!!!
Bad Service – Definitely not a good place for anyone who appreciates communication. Gathering 20 friends is hard enough, without having to worry that the completely rude hostess will also hassle you about how many of them are sitting in a seat, and how many are standing next to the table (in a sports bar mind you) excitedly watching a big game on tv. Now imagine our surprise when "Andrea" came running up to us telling us how we had to "get out the table to make room for people who wanted to eat".... I guess it was okay to be that rude since we had already closed out one bar tab? She also didnt want to hear it when i pointed out the 5 other booths of people ONLY buying drinks from her.... (no food)...... just recounting this makes my head hurt that people can be so rude and asinine. Would it have been to much to ask the woman to come over and explain that on nights of big sporting events, they require xyz to be placed on tabs and not purchased from the bar? I guess so. Bottomline, for anyone that will be in the area- there are a dozen other bars in spitting distance... so if you dont want to worry about bumping into this moron thinks she is a hostess at Bar 515, go elsewhere. We surely did.
If you meet Andrea- I would walk out! – I went to bar 515 last night and had the worst experience! I was with about 5 friends, we had dinner and as the night wore on, more of our friends joined us. At one point there were about 20 of us there- a few at the table and the rest at the bar. One of our friends was leaving a little early and closed outour tab at the table- an hour later the hostess (she said her name was Andrea) came up to us and said we needed to leave the table bc she needed it for "people who were going to be ordering though her"-- we offered to order our drinks through her and she refused. Although we had finished our dinner, we were all drinking, and because we didnt know that we had to order from the waitress we were getting our drinks from the bar. (and because our tab at the table was already closed) - to make a long story short- she told us she would rather that all 20 of us leave and not order from the bar, and proceeded to seat 2 people at our table. When I pointed out that she should have just told us that we needed to order from the waitress if we wanted to sit there, she refused to listen. The whole situation is pretty ridiculous, she was being difficult and unreasonable, and in my opinion- discriminatory. Instead, she chose to let 20 people walk out and go to the bar next door -where we proceeded to have a great time- I wonder what the owners/managers of 515 think of that? There are plenty of great bars in the city where you don't have to deal with attitudes like "Andrea's"- why would I ever go back?
