Absolutely Horrible! – The food here at Home is so-so. The service makes you forget there is even anything remotely good about the food. Seating arrangements for my guests and I were cramped and none of us enjoyed getting bumped into every 5 seconds. Our server was really curt and, at times, even outright rude. I will never come back and I am embarrassed for having brought my friends for such an awful experience.
Home is not where the heart is.... – I was impressed by all the reviews and was anticipating a great night with friends that I only get to meet up with annually. Here's the list of minuses: noise in the room broke the sound barrier, wait staff continuosly knocked me off my chair throughout the evening and never apologized, waitress took 30 mins to take our drink order, couldn't find my meat patty in my burger, does, "where's the beef", ring a bell? Pricey bill for a crappy meal that I had to promise my first born. Pluses? Leaving the restaurant!!!!!
Happy (Loud!) New Year! – I had my heart set on a meal at Millennium, but the $80 New Year's Eve price tag was too rich for my blood, so I made a reservation at Home. This was my first experience eating there. Yes, it was noisy, but in what I consider a "good" way: lots of people enjoying food and each other's company. Service, as you can imagine on that evening, was prompt; the set menu was very good, especially in that it had items for this vegetarian to eat: a very good salad, risotto, and dessert, along with a nice glass of Gloria Ferrer to appropriate toast 2005.
What Happened? – I love home and loved the previous head chef, Lance Vazquez, but the noise is out of control! And the waitstaff has become increasingly less competent since their opening. The food is still awesome, and the prices can't be beat. The soups, salads, and couscous stew rock my world and who can resist their bread pudding??? Home is where I go after long, stressful days at the office because the food always makes me feel all better...even if the noise only makes my head ache worse.
Did you hear me? Great Pot Roast! – Yes it is loud here at Home. Loud because there are alot of people here eating, talking, waiting to be seated. I guess it's kind of hard to deal with the noise. Would highly recommend reservations at peak dining times. Prices are reasonable. Food I thought was great! I highly recommend the Pot Roast and the pork chops. Good comfort food!
Great Place. – Home is by far one of my favorite restaurants. After reading some of the other reviews, I do have to agree that the place is noisy. Some sections are noisier than others. Ask to be seated accordingly. In terms of service: I only sit in the section of my favorite one to two servers. I have had horrible service sitting somewhere else. You must make a reservation. If you don't you, will be waiting. But the host is always pleasant and very nice. The food and the prices speak for themselves.
