Amazing experience. Wonderful Valentines experience. We sat at the bar and ordered the spicy sushi salad(enough for 2 after the miso soup and ginger salad). We ordered the always spectacular Yum Yum roll, Alaskan roll and rainbow roll. Plenty of food and great service. We did experience the overlooking of female guest(server actually had her back to my date) and spoke only to me(not very good). But the other younger server made a point of facing both of us from behind the bar(much more acceptable). My date is used to going down to Fishbones for her sushi experience and was impressed with the wonderful freshness and flavor. Tokyo Sushi will continue to be my first choice for sushi.

If I could give them 20 stars, I'd give them alllllll 20.. Whether you are ready to taste sushi for the first time or you are a sushi lover - TOKYO SUSHI & SEOUL BBQ is what I fondly refer to as "SUSHI COMA"... Ohhhhh my goodness it is AWESOME. Not only is it the prettiest food I've ever seen, it is absolutely the best. I drive 65 minutes each way to enjoy every incredible bite and do not apologize for moaning out loud. lol My out of state friends and family insist we feast at this place whenever they visit. When they are back home, they can't stop talking about it until they return again.

Best Sushi in the Metro Area. Service is always great! Food is always fresh. Yum Yum Tempura roll is spectacular...omg it's unreal. I have tried duplicates at other sushi bars, but there is nothing like this one. The 3 sauces drizzled over it are a phenominal mixture, Spicy yes but very satisfying. Cute waitstaff too...and friendly. Never crowded, our best kept lil secret.

Excellent customer service and delicious sushi at the best price!!!. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was great. I asked my server to put my eel sauce on the side but the chef made a mistake and put it on my sushi, and they offered to make me a new plate. Im glad I decided to keep the sauce on the sushi because it was excellent (Seoul Roll). The Yum Yum is good too. Overall I would say great prices and good food, we'll be going back.

2nd to NONE !!!. I've been a sushi fan for a while and I've tried pretty much most of the sushi places in royal oak, farmington, ferndale, bloomfield ....etc BUT this one is JUST Different not to mention the number of pieces vs. their price range which is really cheaper compared to others !!

everything else is still YUMMYYY !!!

yum yum!. out of all the places i have tried this place is my fav! you have to try the yum yum roll. the service is great and the free soup and salad with your meal is great too!

closest thing to japan. my roommate once lived in japan for a few years and was pretty much on a sushi only diet while he was there. i took him to this place for his birthday and he said it was the best sushi he'd had since he lived in japan! i was extremely spoiled since the first time i'd ever tried sushi it came from tokyo sushi. their soups are excellent and my favorite roll was the tsunami salmon! i would put their sushi above all others that i've tried in michigan so far.

I agree best sushi ever. The sushi is great. Try the Yum-yum rolls. Big enough to share (I recommend sharing it). Told a co-worker and she agrees that it has great sushi. It's my favorite. Sit at the sushi bar for some interesting conversation if there's only 1 or 2 of you.

best sushi ever. best sushi we ever had. great service, and very friendly. totally worth the trip. and the price is just right. if you don't like sushi? they have great korean and japanese food as well. no waiting, can't beat it.

Sushi for Eastsiders, yeah!. I live on the East side, and as we Eastsiders know there are almost NO sushi bars over here. This one is excellent.

The ambience, decor, staff, AND food is above par. The waitresses are wonderful, and have an excellent understanding of English, sometimes lacking in Japanese restaurants.

I would recommend this place EVEN to Westsiders. It also has wonderful little BBQ tables where your food is cooked on your own little personal table. There is also a piano player, imagine that!!

GO! Plus it is reasonable.... :)
