Welcoming Environment!. From the reception desk to the stylists, everyone there is professional and friendly. You won't find anyone with attitude here, just great, smart people who know what they're doing.

EX employee. I was checking out my old salon that i miss and saw all these reviews and had to respond. I use to work at this salon and had to leave due to travel time and my health. but i must say that this is the best salon i have ever worked at, its all about the customer and not about how much we can get from them or how fast we can get it done, and when i was hired i was on a trial period and they asked feed back from my customers to find out how i was doing, i became full time and loved my job and i was driving from simi valley everyday for this job, if it was as bad as people are saying i would not have bothered, but due to medical issues i had to stop, and since i have left there i have not been to another salon and i due my own nails because i have high standards and no one compares to LA Vie L'orange so if you are reading all the reviews well I recomend that you go and see for yourself and enjoy if you just want to relax and not talk then tell your tech and she will understand and comply, they dont know unless you tell them...

I had a wonderful experience here. I had a wonderful experience here. I went in for a manicure/pedicure and short reflexology massage on a Saturday afternoon. The staff took their time and did an excellent, thorough job on every service. It was definitely a more relaxing experience than most salons; the atmosphere was clean, quiet, and inviting. All the staff who worked there were professional and polite. I was very pleased with the results of my mani-pedi and the massage was also excellent. I will definitely go back. Highly recommended!

Overrated. Yes, the inside of the location is beautiful, everything seemed very clean, products were good, and there was no sales pressure. But the receptionist was unwelcoming and borderline rude. The chairs were really uncomfortable and not made for people to get a manicure and pedicure simultaneously (and that was the most unfortunate part since I was treating myself to the top og the line hydrating manicure and tropical pedicure). I would prefer to go somewhere nice where I enjoy the experience- not just think its pretty and clean. Aesthetics only go so far. I will also read these reviews more often and not give the business the benefit of the doubt

what is going on here!?. I must say this place just keeps making changes. Staffing is so inconsistent. The vibe is so negative now. They have new front desk staff and I must say this new gal that I have never seen is so rude to the employees it really bothers me. I used to get a very "family oriented" feeling and now it is so far from that. She talks to them as if they were slaves and not employees, where's a manager when you need one! I remember another gal that was once there for a while would hug the gals and they would all be happily working. I must say the nail gals among them selves will keep that attitude but this front desk rude-ness is not where I want to be. I miss the family I would come to see now I feel like I have to hide in the chair so I don?t have to hear this woman put those gals down. I still love those nail gals but the place does need a nicer, caring loving person that makes you want to keep coming back! The 1st impression to any building you enter starts at the front, always remember that.

STOP TALKING!. THIS PLACE IS OUTRAGEOUS. THE PARKING IS HORRIBLE, THE SERVICES ARE PRICEY, THE PEOPLE ARE RUDE. CAN YOU PLEASE STOP CHIT CHATTING DURING PEDICURES?! NOT WORTH MY MONEY. A FIRST TIMER AND AN ONLY TIMER.

An original. My name is Angela B., I won't "hide" who I am. My husband and I have been long time clients of l.a. vie l?orange for 4 years, I LOVE this place, and I want to comment on some of these rather ?strange and bizarre? reviews that I have been reading lately. The spa has always been above par when compared to the other "shops" in the area, and even some hotels.. Well one day I decided to do a little research myself, and talk to the techs (yes ALL of them do speak English, and they don?t wear chop shop mask, because l.a. vie does not do acrylics, so they do talk to you), and I asked them what was with the reviews. One of the techs made the comment, "well read them carefully" she said. "You will notice that none of them are talking about how bad we polish, or we use cheap polish, or how bad our cuticle nipping is, or nails that are not straight, or polish that comes off, or that you could not get an appointment". She went on to say ?Most of the reviews are talking about ?autoclave used to sanitize", ?products diluted? , ?towels?, ? dry the tools?, ?. "foot files are USED,? etc. (I know for a fact my foot file was new, I see them take if from the plastic, or they are right in front of you at the stations in a box, and they give it to you to take home ) she told me ?obviously this is an ex-employee that did not make the cut, and got fired?. Once I read again them again, I understood. I mean how many of us know what an "autoclave" is, and ALL TOWLES are used (as are the ones in my husbands and my home), that?s what washing them is for, and who would know anything about towles EXCEPT an employee. l.a. vie is my place for life, and please please continue to remove nail techs that do not make the grade, so that you keep the quality us loyal clientele are accustomed to!!!. And to you disgruntled ex-employees that were not good enough to make the grade, and were let go, and now write ?ghost reviews? you need to get a life.

Angela

BOO!. la vie l'orange must have a ghost writer, because all the positive feedback is a crock. Time to throw the dirty, reused foot files and towels in.

Finally a Nail SPA True to their advertisement. I found l.a. vie in Vogue magazine about 3 months ago, and have been going every since. I visited the last night (they don't close until 9 PM), because I was scheduled for an early morning flight today, for a week vacation in Cancun. I booked online, I booked an appointment for a manicure and pedicure with reflexology. True to their advertisement, this spa visit was absolutely relaxing; the environment was serene, clean, and tranquil. All staff were, professional, polite, helpful and courteous. There was no pressure to buy their products or add other services. Additionally, I have sensitive skin as well as allergies that make me cautious about where and how the pedicure is done, and what products are used. The manicure was fabulous, the pedicure with reflexology was the best I have ever experienced. It was a great way to start my vacation, an effective stress buster. The hardest part about last night was leaving the SPA. The experience was blissful. A hint to my husband and children, put a gift certificate for l.a. vie l'oange in my stocking

terrible disappointment. I have been coming here for years, every 3 months or so for what used to be the best pedicure anywhere. They truly were the best - non toxic nail polish remover, specialty teas ad cookies, ovely crips white linens, fresh flowers, a perfect mic of spa luxury and efficiency. I had been noticing a decline the last two times I came - very high turnover of technicians - I used to know the girls here, and I don't recognize anyone anymore. The pedicures became sloppy, occasionally bordering on the painful, and gone were the cookies and lovely teas.

Today I waited for more than 20 minutes while three horrible women got very slow pedicures ate smelly cheeseburgers. I mentioned it to the owner who said " what can I do if they order food in?". I mentioned the wait and he said "oh, she'll be done any moment now". I mentioned someone who arrived after I did (I had at appointment mind you) and was already being taken care of, and he said "she won't be long". In other words, he couldn't have cared less. I said I'd have to reschedule and left, and he made no effort to keep me there.

It's unfortunate, but this place is no officially over. I'll have to find another place that compares to what LA vie l'orange once was.
