Great product; not happy with extra charges – I purchased a washer over the phone and the salesman was terrific. We did however run into some glitches with delivery and install fees and I was very dissatisfied with the outcome. Basically, I described our property and told them it would be a challenging install. I paid extra to have a two man install. They delivery men arrived on time and did the install in less then an hour, but before hading me the bill stated I owed for installation.
I assumed the agreed upon amount was not listed on my invoice and wrote a check for installation, only to later discover that I had already paid for a two man installation on my initial credit card charge (remember I did all of this on the phone). When I called to complain, the office person said the delivery men said it was a "difficult install" and should have been a 3 man job (even though they completed it in under the hour I paid for). The office person also asked why I wrote the check in the first place.
The salesman whom i later contacted had a similar explanation, which just doesn't add up to me; I was never told during my phone purchase that I may be charged extra for a difficult install.
I could have stopped payment on the check, but they have my credit card number anyway and I may need to do business with them again; I live in a rural area and few folks deliver out here, but that doesn't excuse lack of customer service and jacking up of prices (an additional 5% in the end).
unfriendly, unwilling and unhelpful – e bought our oven through Tee Vax, and have had nothing but problems since. It constantly smells of gas, undercooks food and won't light. We called for a repair because the oven wouldn't get up to temperature and the stove top wouldn't light, again. When the repair man came he told us that the burners lit for him and didn't investigate the issue any further(despite the alarming odor of gas) and informed us that our oven required two burners that the company did not have in stock and would not be able to fix them until the following week. He charged us $68 for the consultation, which took 15 minutes, and he discovered nothing more than what we had already informed the company when we first called. What I find especially frustrating is that Tee Vax has all our information on hand as they sold us the oven, but the repair man said that our oven required two ignitors and there was no way of knowing this.
