Best Trip Ever!! – If you're looking for the ultimate Sonoma experience of good wine, good humor and big human heart, this hotel is exactly what you're looking for. It is very comfortable, cozy and with beautiful art work everywhere. It feels like you arrived at a place you never want to leave again. It feels like home. It has a beautiful garden, swimming pool and beautiful dining area. It is not fancy and intimidating. Its style is very down to earth with a touch of human heart. It is conveniently located close to several wineries and not too far of a drive to downtown square in Sonoma.
We were on a bicycle trip with a friend of mine and ended up in this hotel by a mere coincidence. After our adventures of flat tires, broken pumps, hitchhiking and full hotels, we were greeted with a great hospitality, sense of humor, big smile and a good heart of the hotel owner. The experience we had in this hotel was definitely the most amazing one from the whole trip (second are the downhill rides on California hills).
Next time I'm in Sonoma, I'm definitely going back to Vineyard Inn, and would recommend it to anyone who is tired of commercial, cold hotels and appreciates the human touch. Our Sonoma experience would have not been the same.
Thank you for everything.
Great Place – It was a great place for my wife and I to get away for the weekend. It was clean and the service was very friendly. It is close to everything so you dont have to drive very far to go wine tasting. I read a lot of reviews before I stay anywhere. There is one bad review about this place. But from the sound of it I dont think this person stayed here. It is a very professional hotel.
A small community of accommodations in the wine country. – The Scene
Within a mile of the town plaza, this Mediterranean-style villa compound ensures seclusion and tranquility in the heart of the wine country. It is located on a park-like swath of land graced with old Eucalyptus trees, flower-lined footpaths and decorative water fountains.
This grouping of villas offers the kind of ambiance usually available only at much higher rates. Some of the guest room furnishings are a bit standard, but nice touches include Mexican tiled floors, adobe walls and local antiques. Artwork reflects the area's wine-growing history. The outdoor crescent-shaped swimming pool feels as if it belongs on a Tuscan hillside. Within a ten-minute drive is an abundance of world-class wineries.
