If you are in downtown Nashville and looking for a fun/laidback place to go, DO NOT go to Bailey’s Pub and Grill. I have been to this particular place a handful of times. I have enjoyed their food in the past. I have had a problem with their service in one instance but the manager at the time did come and correct the situation. I worked in the restaurant business in the past so I do feel I can accurately critique an establishment’s service to some extent.
Unfortunately, last night was the last time we will ever go to a Bailey’s establishment. There was a group of 3 of my friends and myself that wanted to get a meal and drink after the Predator’s game (we purposely left the game early to go get a table before it got too busy). My friends were from out of town and I wanted to take them to a place that I had once liked.
The security guards outside were very nice and welcoming when we walked in. When we entered the seating area we were unsure if we should seat ourselves. There were multiple employees that walked by us without asking if we needed assistance. Finally, I asked a passing waitress about the seating she gave me a lot of “attitude” and said to sit wherever. (I understand that serving can be stressful but the extent to her callousness was extreme). A second later I saw the manager and I mentioned that I was not too impressed by the greeting of the waitresses. He then kind of apologized but did nothing to try to keep us there; so we then left. The security guard asked why we were leaving and we explained what had happened, he told us to go to the upper level where there would be more seats (so we decided to give it another try). A waitress brought us menus and said she would check back in a few minutes to check on us. We were talking to the table next to us and enjoying ourselves. A few minutes later, the manger came up to our table and asked if we had been drinking, when we told him we had a couple drinks at the game; he then told us that he would not serve two of the four people at our table. In our defense, there were no altercations or incidences that would have supported his decision. There was no reason for him to come to our table and question our sobriety. So we got up and left. I spoke to the security guards as we left and he was very surprised because none of us seemed overly intoxicated.
In short, we were all responsible adults that wanted to have a late night dinner and a couple drinks while downtown. Bailey’s Pub and Grill was extremely disappointing in every aspect except for their security guards whom were extremely welcoming.
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a good time while in downtown Nashville.
Was in town for a convention, went here to eat. The food was good, the atmosphere was good. All was good until our waiter Daniel B gave me the bill ,we were in a hurry I gave him my credit card he ran the card I signed it. Then I notice the bill had all these other charges on it. I told him and he said oh he made a mistake and put someone else stuff on my bill. Then he reruns a new bill about $45 less I paid that one. When I ask about what happened to the other bill I paid he assured me that only this bill will go thru. Well, we all know what happened next he ran the 1st higher bill and not the second lower bill. Im back in St louis now. I disputed it with the credit card company and Baileys sent in my sign receipt so they closed the case for now. I can write a letter and reopen the case but I just decided to tell my story here. So if you are from out of town don't go here or don't get Daniel B as your waiter other wise you will be over paying and getting ripped off. Oh and I did contact the manager there and he could care less. I think this is a common practice at Baileys.
happy hour – is this the place that has three dollar long islands ad margaritas 3-7pm m-f?
Good Food, Sports and Great music! – I just moved to Nashville and as soon as I went into Bailey's I instantly liked it. It's a fun place, the food was delicious and the people were very nice. While I was there they had live music, which was great! If you like watching sports, drinking beer, and country music then this is your place!
Good Food, Good time – I visited Bailey's on Broadway prior to a Monday night Predator's game. The food was good and served quickly. Good atmosphere. We got a pizza which was awesome! Good selection of beer, also.
Awesome food and a great time. – I have visited this establishment many times and my friends and i always had a blast. The servers are usually pretty cool and fun to be around. Grant it we would always go there first before hitting the rest of the strip but I have never had a problem there. And the chicken fingers and fries rock!!!!!!!!
Good Drinks! – This place is great!- me and my friends get good drinks here. I love it!
Good olde place – The place had a nice country atmosphere. Only wish you couldn't smoke here. Food and music were the usual bar fare.
Has a Blast! – My husband and I , along with another couple, went to Baileys on Valentines night, before heading over to see Rick Springfield. We had great appitizers, lots of cold beer. Adam, the Manager, was very hospitable, and made our visit very memorable!! We will definitely be back!!
BEST BAR IN NASHVILLE – GREATEST IRISH BAR IN NASHVILLE! MUCH BETTER ATMOSPHERE THAN DAN MCGUINNES! EXCELLENT WAIT STAFF!
