Now called Terrain at Styers – Wish I was still in the North Wilmington, De/ Pennsylvania area because I lived there, I headed to Styer's nurseries every spring to pick out plants. It was just a treat to go there and the employees were very helpful. It is worth checking out, it is fun to go to gardening centers, but this place is definitely one of the best... you have to go to see how unique it is. I am still trying to find a place that compares in MA.....
Annuals and perennials at a favorite of the Philadelphia Flower Show. – In Short
If you're looking for forward-thinking flowers, this is the store for you. Styer's walkthrough exhibit CD Garden--where plants mingled with bouquets of CDs to create a spectacle of color and light--won Best in Show at the 2002 Philadelphia Flower Show. Styer also hosts workshops on gardening, featuring local green-thumb gurus like Longwood Gardens senior gardener Karl Gercens.
Best Nursery in the Mid-Atlantic region! – I've traveled from Virginia to New York and have not yet found a better nursery. The plants they stock are always of the highest quality and nowhere else can you find so many unique, hard-to-get plants. The sales staff is great to speak to if you need any advice or help with plotting out your garden. Experts through and through!
