Tips for Chop Suey

Proud parents = pleasant service. I loved the Breakroom, and so far, I love Chop Suey. The Breakroom(gritty rock club, tractor crossing signs, etc.)was unfortunately a blue collar club in a town that is entirely devoid of blue collar workers - a little piece of Chicago. The club has changed hands and been made over into Chop Suey. The new incarnation has a themed art decor that is more typical of Seattle. The new staff presides with an unspoken sense of "Look what we've done. Thank you for coming." The inherent appreciation of this tone is refreshing. Around closing time, I was nudged outward more politely than any other time in my club-going experience. While the place may look pretty, I've been pummelled there by Cutthroats .09, just as I was pummelled by the Unsane at the Breakroom. The venue's great, now it's just a matter of how the booking turns out.
