long lines for average food – this place attracts the long lines because there aren't that many breakfast place choices in the culver city area. the place has good but not spectacular food. the service is quick to accommodate the long lines.

super yummy just like home cooked breakfasts! – Go early to avoid the wait! While the servers are very nice they are soooooooooo slow but we still go because the food is too good not to! The pancakes and make your own scrambles are my favorites and the food is cheap! S&W is one of my favorite breakfast places and worth the 20 minute drive and also the wait!

SIMPLY AWESOME – Great way to start the day - been there twice last week - french toast and scrambled eggs the first time and their wonderful oatmeal + a fresh fruit bowl the next - tasty and filling.Nice atmosphere, v attentive waiter/waitresses ( refilled coffee, gen service) - usually if you are solo

you can sit by the counter almost immediately ( no sign in , no wait!!).Def be back frequently.

Cash only and parking can be a pain.

Mixed feelings now! – My husband and I go here for breakfast every sunday morning after church. We are usually there by 9:15am and are never disappointed BUT the last 2 sundays we went at 10:00 to 11:00am. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! Both times we waited 70 minutes to get seated. That is too long of a wait for breakfast. What really irritated me was on both occasions, several (like 5-7) tables were seated before us. Some people seem to have some extra pull with the employees. On the other hand, I highly recommend this place if you get there early enough. The food/coffee is fantastic. They have the best tasting bacon of any place I have been to in LA and offer a fresh and delicious fruit bowl. The service is only okay. Don't expect your waitress to come back to see if you are doing alright. You get what you pay for which in this case is good food for the price.

Breakfast spot – Excellent food forthe morning after. Service could be a bit better, and prepare to wait a bit. It is worth it though.

My favorite for breakfast – I LOVE S&W! Every time I have an opportunity, I love to come here for breakfast. The food is GREAT, the price is UNBEATABLE, and the coffee! Yum yum!

Bustling industry breakfast and lunch spot serves quick and hearty American fare in a hip, retro space. – Always packed with workers from Sony, this comfort-food haven serves home-cooked favorites fast, friendly and filling the plate. Vintage wall advertisements and ever-present coffee warming on the old-fashioned stove suggest grandma's kitchen--but grandma was never this busy. While healthy diets are accommodated, almost any sandwich can be turned into a melt, and seasoned curly fries and meatloaf are specialties. Pancakes can be customized with crumbled Oreos or corn and Ortega chili.

Good Breakfast – There's a bit of a wait on a Saturday morning, but the food comes fast and it's really tasty. Lots of choices for breakfast, including corned beef hash or veggie burgers with your eggs. Try the vegetarian eggs benedict. Yum! Easy to get out of there for under $10 (tip included). Just remember to bring money with you; it's cash only.

A comfy place – I like this kind of diner. You never feel like leaving. THe staff was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I'm really a sucker for good ol' country fixins, and this place has it. Very good bisquits and gravy, pancakes light, fluffy and they don't fall apart when covered with syrup. The only good parking you might find is if you worked for Sony pictures. But whenever I am in this neck of the woods, I will keep driving around the block to find a spot. This ia a real gem.
