This hotel has so much Hollywood history because Culver City was where all the movie studios were once based. It's a real trip through time and the lobby is great to get drinks or a light bite. You can also have parties there at reasonable rates.

Beautiful Building that needs TLC!!! – I have stayed at the hotel, eaten and had a few drinks at the bar/restaurant.

The hotel was nice to stay at because of its history but the rooms... Yes rooms we had to changes rooms TWICE and the third one we ended up staying in wasn't any better. Both rooms smelled and in the first room someone was already in the room. Poor services and definitely over priced for the accommodations they offer.

I was born and raised in Culver City and really love this building. I just hope that the owners give it some much-needed TLC!!!

Great ambiance! – I have gone into Duke's a couple of times, and I am always impressed! It is located in the Culver Hotel, which has a long history itself, and usually has quite a few people in there. No one was rude, the concierge was very helpful and gave us a little background about the hotel. The drinks were pricey, considering that next door are a couple of places where they are less, but they were strong enough, and the ambiance was awesome! You will enjoy this place!

Culver Hotel's cool lobby lounge hosts nightcap-seeking culinary pilgrims, neighborhood regulars, industry folk and garrulous guests. – In Short
A landmark cultural property in downtown Culver City, this subdued boutique hotel offers a dignified drinking bar for local lounge hoppers and resident guests. Located within the main hotel lobby, the wood-paneled room has the vibe of a Parisian cafe, with arched-glass windows and bentwood bistro chairs. The lounge is a literally a hideaway meeting place for local Sony execs looking to avoid a crowd, while evening offers a contingent of local trendsetters and drinkers.

Nice bar – I haven't stayed at the Culver Hotel yet, but I've been here a great many times for their bar. Duke's is a nice bar, with some good appetizers and a friendly staff. Their bar is tiny but there's lots of seating in the lobby. With many studio employees coming here after work, it gets crowded all the time.

Good History Here – This is a nice hotel but pricey. The evening staff wasn't that great but the day staff was nice. Trader Joes and a Movie theather are near by. If your really interested in Sony Studios and Culver Studios you'll be right in the middle of both of them

Downtown Culver City hotel commemorates a glamorous bygone era with classic, antique-filled, actor-themed rooms. – In Short
Opened in 1924 by Harry Culver, the man behind Culver City itself, this six-story brick hotel was considered a skyscraper. Hollywood stars like Clark Gable and Ronald Reagan frequented the later John Wayne-owned property. A "Judy Garland" room, among others, is appointed with photographs and memorabilia from the "Wizard of Oz" in honor of the cast, who stayed there during filming. Antique French furnishings, marble bathrooms and TVs are standard decor.
