Unhappy- I went into Chili's for lunch. When the hostess gave me the menu, I asked for a printout that listed the calorie content of each item. She looked dumbfounded and proceeded to ask why I needed it. I informed her that I was on a diet. She informed me that I did not need to be on a diet, I looked great. (I was wearing a rather large jacket that clearly hides any and all of my figure) Now, I'm not saying the flattery was not nice, but it needed to be followed up with, "Let me get you that printout." but was not. It is not her business WHY I wanted the information. It was her business to provide me with it. Instead, the waiter came over, showed me the "light" menu, which did show the calories (only had one item less than 500 calories). I again asked for the printout for the entire menu and was once again shunned. I did choose the lowest calorie meal in the light section and was pleased with the flavor, but completely dissatisfied with the customer service.
Dissapointed – On a Monday evening, with no major sports events on the air, my family and friends came to Chili's to celebrate a birthday. In attendance were members of a local fire department, sheriffs department, local businessmen and women, professional people who have lived in this town for over twenty years. At approximately 8:45 we were told that we would only be served one more drink, that Chili's is a family restaurant, not a bar. We were not a noisy group or rude. Even though the waitstaff did an excellent job, I did not feel we were welcome. Not a lot of smiling going on. I will not return nor recommend to anyone that they do so. Very dissapointed.
Eh, so so – Chili's did this weird thing where they changed their "original homemade" chili... and it tastes like crap now.
They also went through this phase where they put this spicy red powder stuff on everything... chili, chips and even ceasar salad!
Families and an after-work crowd come to this relaxed Tex-Mex chain for sizzling fajitas and a buzzing bar scene. – In Short
Festive decor of colorfully tiled tables, vintage photographs and sunny Southwestern accents welcomes an all-ages crowd at this informal hangout. Youngsters and their parents pile into dining room booths; casual business types toss back margaritas and watch televised sports at the bar. The menu features mild versions of Lone Star state favorites, from double-basted baby back ribs and steak fajitas to red-beef chili and deep-fried onions.
