HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH THIS SHOP!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. I WENT IN FOR A SIMPLE IGNITION SYSTEM REPAIR. THEY CALLED ME AND SAID THE PROBLEM IS FIX SO I WENT DOWN AND PICK UP MY BOAT. WHEN I GOT THERE THEY TOOK MY MONEY, THEN SAID 2 SPRING CAME OFF THE CARBS WHEN WE WHERE RUNNING THE MOTOR, I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY STRANGE "BUT THEY REASSURED ME THE SPRINGS WHERE UNNECESSARY" LATER THAT NIGHT I RAN THE BOAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY DRIVEWAY ON MUFFS THE MOTOR WAS IDLE @ 4000 RPM. SOMEONE MESS WITH THE IDLE ON MY BOAT, THERE NEVER WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE CARBS, REMEMBER I JUST TOOK THE BOAT THERE FOR A COIL AND POINTS. LUCKILY I HAD A FRIEND THAT HELP ME WITH THE CARBS IDLE. SO I CALL THERE FIRST THING MONDAY AND TALK TO DON THE OWNER, HE WAS VERY RUDE. I LET HIM KNOW THAT I WASN'T LOOKING FOR HIM TO REPAIR THE ISSUE BECAUSE MY FRIEND ALREADY FIX THE PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM THAT I JUST WANTED TO LET HIM KNOW THAT HIS MECHANIC SAID MY BOAT WAS FIX AND READY TO BE PICK UP AND IT WASN'T!!! HE DENIED EVERYTHING SAID THAT IT WAS MY FAULT, AND INSULTED MY BOAT CALLING IT OLD. HE ALSO SAID THAT THE DRIVE HOME CAUSE MY ISSUE??? I WILL NEVER HAVE PRECISION MARINE TOUCH MY BOAT AGAIN. PRECISION MARINE ARE UNPROFESSIONAL THEY DRINK ALCOHOL ON THE JOB AND ALL THE MECHANICS LOOK LIKE TWEEKERS.
DON'T LET THEM TOUCH YOUR BOAT, IF YOU DO YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
Do your homework first, stay away – I took my boat there because it was over heating. They told that they would give me a detailed cost break down of all the repairs needed and all I needed to do was to bring my boat down and authorized up to $250 for them to go through the boat. About two hours after I dropped my boat off I received a call saying that they weren't sure what has wrong and it would be at least $700. They then informed me that my $250 was gone because they put in a new pump kit. I told them that I needed the detailed plan as promised before I authorized any more money. Two days later the owner called me and said it would be $1500 to fix my boat. I told him no way and he hung up on me. Thirty minutes later, I picked up my boat, paid the $250, and got the scratch paper they provided me explaining the problems. I then took my boat to Capitol Boat, where just after one day, they informed me that I had a cracked manifold and need an O ring. Total cost was $700 for the manifold (installed), $48 pump kit (that right precision never replaced it)and $3 for the O ring (installed). Now my boat runs great and doesn't have any problems. If you want to think you'll save money by going to the boat junk yard (precision), think again, these guys will waste your time and money by misdiagnosis of your boat. Had I left the boat with them, not only would they have charged my $1500 for unneeded repairs, and then I would have found out about my cracked manifold. Stay away from them if you like your boat.
