A hip and funky--yet unpretentious--eatery. – In Short
Tall windows bring light to the Dahlia's vegetable-colored walls and the breakfast crowd's alt-paper reading material. Breakfast--served all day--is the main draw here, due in part to a popular home-fry melange of yams, potatoes and garlic cloves. The sweetness of the yams and garlic complement the savory flavors in any of the egg dishes, like the Lucky Scramble--eggs with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. In dinner mode, the Dahlia builds a mean burger, tall with fresh lettuce and onion on a Delphina's bun.

Good food, painfully slow service – There should be a warning sign on the front door reading, "WARNING: Unless you have at least 90 minutes alotted for your dining experience, DO NOT ENTER!!"

This is not an exageration. The place was not overly crowded when the two of us arrived for a simple breakfast. Over an hour went by before our eggs(!) arrived.

I wish I could say it was worth the wait.

Chipotle/blackbean omlette -- Great! – This is great food and great value. I recently lunched there on a sunny day. The restaurant was bathed in comfotable sunlight and the chipotle black bean omlette was a dream. Who would of thought of mixing sweet potato and regular home fries? Nice place.

Great Breakfast! – Lots of variety, plenty of yummy choices....the omelette with tomatos, spinach and basic is my favorite (sub whites only) and you can swap their delicious home fries for less-guilty fresh fruit, if that's your preference.

Could be quicker on the coffee refills though, I've had to fill my own cup more than once. Still, I have yet to wait in line (though it's never empty), the price is right, the food is good!
