Relaxed, good food.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We rode our bikes to the restaurant, and didn't want to leave them outside so they let us bring them inside in the foyer. Our server was very prompt and friendly and went out of his way to help us.
We both ordered pizza and a house beer, both of which were very good. They brought out fresh bread and butter, which was particularly yummy. Very large portion sizes, decently priced.
Disappointing. You know when you get served food that was put together like someone who has no pride in their work did it in the dark? That's what the food was like here. My wife ordered the bruschetta sandwich and I ordered the burger (a "brewery special"...pfffh). The gucamole (not avocado) was slopped on one side, the burnt bacon (not crumbled bacon) was slopped on another and the mayonnaise (I think that's what it was) was hanging over the side and under the bun. The side salad - which consisted of the white nasty center of iceberg lettuce - had a dallop of dressing and the rest of the fixins' were a joke. My wife's sandwich was the same - only chicken. Sure the beer was good, you'd hope a brewery could get at least that decent enough. We're hopeful next time the Pyramid here is as good as the one in Berkeley.
great beer. the atmosphere is great. the food is above average and they have great beer. a little bit pricey but worth it
Go somewhere else. They refused to have more than one check per table, took FOREVER to get our average food, set up a table for teenagers less than a foot from my infant in a high chair and used creative accounting when using our Entertainment card, taking off the cheapest meals even though they weren't from the same couple. Manager was rude and defensive. Beer was okay.
Have some food with your beer at this popular, award-winning brewery..
The Scene
Dimly lit and easygoing, the bar fills up nightly with casually dressed clientele of all ages. If you're interested in the brewing process, an official-looking brewmeister, clad in rain boots and a white jumpsuit, periodically appears alongside the beer vats to flip switches and pull levers. The prices here are on the high end, but large portions make it a good value.
The Food
From the light and smooth Miner's Extra Pale Ale to the red, full-bodied Celtic Amber Ale, nary a beer lover is disappointed. The extensive menu, composed of big salads, hearty seafood and chicken dishes and lip-smackin' appetizers, was established to complement the beer--not the other way around.
Great food, service.
Great food, terrific selection, great service for a pretty good price.
There were four of us and we each had something different and everything was great.
We also got the sampling of microbrews so we could taste what we liked--that's always fun.
