Tips for Lemon Grass Restaurant
A Disappointing Experience.
This is really an American/Thai restaurant. I ordered Mon Curry and requested Thai vegetables, steamed tofu with spicy (hot) curry sauce. Curry sauce was watery and not hot spicy. Waiter delivered peppers chopped about 1/4 inches!
Requested bok choy and other Thai green vegetables (Only bok choy available). Broccoli was wilted ( overcooked or old). Only Merlot by glass was a Luna (ugh). Dessert ("sponge cake with lemon curd"), NOT sponge cake with thin layer of lemon curd between cake and huge mound of white icing. There were NO Thai desserts. The waiter only repeated information on menu. Very noisy and tables much too close together. Had great difficulty finding a parking place (finally found one on the street). Dr. B
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I can't express enough love for this restaurant and its staff. I have eaten here many many times. The food is always delicious. We have had nothing but excellent service. Although not a traditional thai or vietnamese meal, it has been americanized and the thai and vietnmese flavors blended together. It is nothing short of wonderful! (Also, for a bit of fun, try the bananas flambe).
