I received flowers on Valentine's Day (Thursday) for the first time ever and unfortunately they were wilted and seemed like they had been in a hot car all day. I sent a picture to my boyfriend (the buyer of the flowers) and he said that it wasn't what he ordered, he payed for an upgraded bouquet and vase and that is not what I got. I called in on Friday morning at 9:00 and spoke to someone who was very nice and understanding and said that they would be sending out a new bouquet that day. Well 5:00 came and went and no new bouquet, so I decided to go into the shop because they don't close until 6:00. I told the lady at the register what happened and she said they would make me a new bouquet right then. While I was standing there waiting for the new bouquet that was supposed to be delivered to my work that day, someone else came in with wilted flowers that were sent to his wife on Valentine's day as well and he wanted a refund. They didn't seem to want to help him at first and finally they gave him his refund...I'm still waiting, they bring out the new bouquet and it looks like the same flowers and vase that I just brought back, except this time it doesn't have babies breath in it, it has a different filler, but the flowers were the same. II decided I wanted a refund instead, but they said they couldn't do the refund because they were ordered through a third party site. I said ok, well he can go online and try and get a refund...the owner/manager came around the counter and damn near pushed me over telling me I can't do that, I have to leave the flowers if I'm going to get a refund, treating me like I was stealing the flowers. I told him I wasn't going to leave the flowers without proof that he was refunded, they couldn't provide that so I took the flowers. I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life, I plan on letting everybody know not to patronize this establishment!
Like the comment by Lagunaguy; I too experienced every excuse in the book for the reason as to why the flowers were wilted and that they couldn't get the new delivery out to me on Friday...including that I hadn't talked to anybody in the store because the answering service was on because they were so busy they couldn't answer the phones in the store. It's your phone number and it's not my fault that your answering service told me that I would be getting a new bouquet and they shouldn't have told me that...again not my problem!
I put in an order for Valentines Day and they blew the delivery and left me high and dry! ANYONE putting in an order for a business address expects it to be delivered during business hours! Their offer to deliver that evening to a home address was a joke. It took multiple phone calls to get a hold of anyone to even find out the status (or lack of) on my order. Non- stop excuses about how busy the day was....I have NO SYMPATHY. It is a yearly event that they should be planning for as a business! When I protested I was rudely hung up on!
The first sign of a poorly run business is them blaming everything and everyone but themselves!
"the web ordering company didnt limit orders"
"its an incredibly busy day"
blah blah blah. Nothing but excuses other than they didnt have it together for one of the 4 major sales days that are the core of their business.
When customers are lining up to pay 200% inflated rates for holiday flowers.....they should have been ready. They weren't They wrecked my Valentines Gift.
Stay away from these irresponsive- irresponsible losers at all costs!
Customer Treatment Based on Wealth – They may treat regular customers and celebrities well, but an everyday customer is treated with about as much respect as garbage on the street. Their behavior is simply unacceptable. If you don't care about service, and just want overpriced arrangements, by all means, try them out.
This florist to the famous can make you feel like a star. – The Blooming Facts
The arrangements tend toward traditional elegance, but with a strong aversion to carnations and baby's breath. Lilies are a favorite among clients for many occasions. Martha Stewart-influenced hand-tied bouquets of English garden-style flowers are currently popular. Like most professional florists, Arden Park Florist's utmost concern is the bride's satisfaction, and they will work closely with her to meet her budget requirements.
The Petal Pushers
Mike and Debbie Woodward have owned and operated the shop for 25 years in the same location. Debbie is an award-winning designer who has received several from the Loyola Guild for work on the Sacred Heart Christmas Home Tour. All wedding delivery and set-up is handled personally by Debbie or daughter Nykole, so only one wedding is booked per weekend.
Getting to the Roots
Not cheap, but the service is personal. Installment payments are accepted, with payment in full due 30 days prior to the event. Debbie has been a victim of, yes, even celebrities' bounced checks, causing her to change her former policy of two weeks' advance payment.
