Avoid it – There's a reason you don't see many locals there. I am one, and I've been in there three times in eight years. That was plenty. F Street has always had an unfriendly atmosphere (and reputation), our friends were asked to leave once because they had a child with them, at lunchtime. The best word I can think of to describe the servers is hostile, and the service is not good at best. I have never understood why the pilots hang out there, there are many better places to have a beer in Anchorage, frankly this one is awful. I am giving it one star because zero is not an option.

Employees only like tough locals – Dangerous place at night. They seem to cater to the Meth crowd. The staff is as unfriendly as the night patrons. This place used to be a good hangout, but now you are better off spending your money at any one of the other bars in town.

Dangerous, hostile to visitors – I've been going to F Street Station for the last five years and until recently it has been a nice, welcoming watering hole for both locals and out-of-towners. However, the service has declined, the staff is at best indifferent but more often openly hostile to non-locals, and management supports bar-fighting punks rather than maintaining a nice, welcome atmosphere. The place has become dangerous with local hockey-punks openly picking fights with non-locals and their behavior is defended by the wait-staff. Local police seem to ignore the problem. Certainly the place is now too dangerous for the average person; strongly recommend you avoid F Street on your visit to the Anchorage central business district.

Be Careful... – Use extreme caution if visiting the F Street at night. While it has enjoyed a long standing rep as THE place for local and transiting airline pilots, it's recently begun a downward spiral by catering to a young and rough crowd looking for fights and trouble. Definitely not recommended for anyone who is uncomfortable with drunks looking for trouble. The staff is rude and openly hostile to non locals...so, while the fish is okay, there are plenty of other great places to get a taste of Anchorage without interacting with folks who don't welcome you. Used to be a great place...now....not worth it.

Go Early – This food at this place is really, really good. Certainly the best pub food I have ever had. Some items were simply the best ever. I have eaten everything on the menu at least twice. There are a broad variety of choices. Steak to pasta to clams to sandwiches to salads and fresh oysters, all are super. When you get done eating your way through the menu there are daily specials to try and a rotating choice of soup. The specials usually feature fresh fish of some kind, always excellent. I like to sit at the counter by the kitchen and watch the cooks, well, cook. When there is a lull one of the cooks will take your order and get it started. Wait staff help with the wine and beer. I am told a chef named Carlo is the genius behind the grub. There is a Sunday brunch featuring Eggs Benedict. That's the only item I found to be average. Lot?s of folks rave about them. To me they are just Eggs B, good but nothing special. Everything else? Well, I think you get the idea. I like this place. It does fill up quickly and many people go just for drinks, conversation and free cheese and crackers (for display only). Eat first, drink later, that?s my advice.

Super – If you are looking for great food, full menu, reasonable prices, this is the place to visit.

The staff atmosphere is very friendly. Service is No. 1.

Size doesn't matter – Nice bar but pretty small. The place fills up quick so you have to get there early. Good place to get a drink and talk with friends if you can find a place to sit.
