Wonderful Experience and I will return...... Eastwood location 8.30.8 - I am a white male age 47. I moved to B'ham from HSV 7 years ago. I started buzz cutting my own hair because every "whack-n-clip" chain left me feeling no love and a lousy hair cut for 15-20 bucks. Again trying to maintain my longer hair I ended up searching for someone to give me an honest to goodness hair cut, you know scissors. It had been three months since my last "whack-n-clip" so my hair was getting longer and unruly. So this Saturday morning I set out on a mission. I started to 280 or Hoover in my search. But, I was divinely moved to turn right instead and for some reason I pulled into the new shopping center and saw a new "head start"... I said to myself "self you know better" then I noticed "JTYRAN Salon" so I drove over and parked, pulled out the iphone and googled it...(they need a website btw)...I gave up and went on inside to investigate, the window did say Barbers and Stylist. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted promptly and professionally, after a consult with a Barber he went and took advisement from a stylist. That is when I realized I might be in an ethnic themed salon. Thoughts began to flash "do they know how to cut a white man's hair", "do they want to cut a white man's hair". Then I thought if they are willing and I am more than willing. The salon was super nice, clean, great decor, music...just a wonderful welcome relaxed feeling. In the waiting area I relaxed and read the news. Just as I was promised in 15 minutes a gentleman by the name THEO walked up and introduced himself. After listening to me intently about what I wanted in a hair cut, he explained how he was going to go about it. I can truly say that I received the best hair cut I have had in over 20 years and maybe just ever. So thank you gentlemen and thank you Theo of JTyran Eastwood...I shall return and I will tell everyone I know of the great experience I had. Thank you again. Peace! Adon.
Best hair salon in the city of Birmingham. I have been a patron of J Tyran since the beginning (West End salon). As each year passed I saw the salon grow. This salon is truly worth the money spent. The atomosphere is great. Great decor, nice music, and comfortable setting. The salon is adequately equipped with the latest accessories fro hair salons. The staff is well groomed and very profesional. And the service is great. You walk out of there with a hair style that is soft and bouncy. And the stylists are well educated on hair quality and texture.
You actually get what you pay for!.
I am a firm believer in good customer service and spending my money where it will be valued. J?Tyran HAS TO BE one of the best salons in the city to receive the total hair care experience. When I arrived at the salon, which was beautifully decorated in inviting colors and very upscale in its approach, I was immediately greeted by my shampoo technician, helped into my protective smock and shown to the back to begin treatment. When have you ever gone to get your hair done and didn?t have to wait in line (even though you arrived on time)?
J?Tyran really delivers! My hair was the softest it has ever been. They make healthy hair their top priority and my beautiful style and cut was an added bonus (Thanks, Lee!). Unlike typical salons that chatter away with uncomfortable gossip, these people made me feel like I?d known them forever, much appreciated from a newcomer?s perspective.
Once I left the salon, I was well educated about maintaining the health and style of my hair. I was able to purchase top line products right in the store and I promptly scheduled an appointment for my next visit. This was the first time in my life that I?ve been to a hair salon and felt like the money I spent was worth the service I received. Kudos, J?Tyran! All salons should model themselves after yours.
