Very Good Thai Food & Expansive Menu – Years ago, I lived in Marina Del Rey, and would eat here often. Back then, there was only a few tables inside -- nowadays, there's several tables outside on the patio as well. I was in MDR last week visiting a friend, who had a craving for Thai food, and had never been there. So I suggested we go. The only problem was it was 830pm on Saturday night, and I thought we'd have a problem getting seated quickly (because WE WERE HUNGRY) Well, when we arrived I asked if there was a wait because the place was very busy, and had 2 large groups (each had more than 10 people seated on the patio) I noticed there was one empty table on the patio, and asked if we could sit there. At first I was told that someone was waiting, who left, said they'd be back later, but hadn't returned, I asked if we could sit there because we were really hungry....and she said OK. We ordered a lot of food (for 2 people) the Pad Thai was amazing! The Spring Rolls were good, but the Vietmamese Spring rolls were even better. We also had a Mixed Vegetable Dish which was very tasty & cooked perfectly (we ordered it mild with no oil) However, I will admit (like another review stated) we were a little disappointed with the Chicken Satay. As previously mentioned in another review, they were indeed very flat & very dried out. I don't know if this is how they generally serve/prepare them because years ago I used to only order Beef Satay which were also very falt but tender & superb! The only probelm with Siamese Garden is that the Owner/Head Chef is the only one who prepares most of the dishes. So if they're really busy (which they were - be prepared to wait - we were there 2.5 hrs) However, the food is worth the wait if not in a hurry, the waitresses are all VERY SWEET... and it gave my friend & I a chance to catch up. The restaurant is very intimate & I highly recommend making a reservation for one the tables inside (with a curtain) for a romantic evening -- though the patio is quite nice too!

Bad Thai Food – I went with my friend who loves thai food and she was not impressed. I ordered the chicken skewers and they were sliced thin and tough. Much like my dogs rawhide and the peanut sauce was not very good.

Best thai food i've ever had! – Their food is wonderful. (Put it this way, I just got back from Thailand, and wasn't able to find food as tasty as this...) I've been coming here for over a year--the service is so friendly, the food comes out promptly, and their menu is widely varied. Every once in a while, I'll venture away from my favorite dishes, and I'm always surprised with how good everything is! Great for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, and has a wonderful, cozy, romantic setting just off the Venice canals.

AWESOME TAI FOOD!! – Right next to Baja Cantina on the Canal side! Easy to miss, but you don't want to. THe food is fantastic!! One of the best Tai places I have ever eaten at. Friendly service, and delicious food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great meals, great price – The food takes a long time to prepare, hence the longer service time. But when the food comes, it's outstanding! It's fresh, it's cooked to your specifications, and it's a well-portioned size meal. Definitely good stuff....

Service is slow? – If the service seems slow, you need to evaluate your patience. Once you've eaten the food at Siamse Garden, you'll appreciate that the chefs prepare the food fresh for each order. The proof is in the taste. They even make their own coconut ice cream. If you want fast food, go to a place that serves their dishes from a steam table. You won't have to wait at all.

Good Food - Bad Service – The food was excellent--best Pad Thai I have ever had. The portions were on the small side however the inexpensive menu makes it easy to order plentiful amounts of this delectable food. BEWARE: the service is horrible. Be prepared to wait wait wait for a table, for your order etc.

Slow service but worth it in the end – I am a regular diner at this restaurant and the food is simply AMAZING! Be prepared to wait long for your food though as the servers seem to be operating on another time zone. But as soon as you taste that food, you forget all their faults. I suggest that you come here when you want to have a long talk with someone.

Yom-mie! – They have been in business for 26 years, and that should say it all...this place serves up some of the most authentic Thai food that we've had in & around Los Angeles. Each dish was distinctive and scrumptious. Besides, having dessert outside in their romantic patio is just one more reason that it doesn't get much better than this. Oh yeah, did I mention the inexpensive menu & gracious service?
