Wooo hoo! Love this place! – First met Lisa at the Jacksonville Business Expo in 2001. IK started shopping with Lisa and Floyd soon thereafter.

I love the selection and the service is amazing! From speacil requests to just a pound of shrimp for dinner- you cannot beat price, quality, and selection! The Trifecta of meat markets!

OMG - I'm going back for seconds! – I'm really surprised by the negative reviews. I heard their commercial on the radio and went over to try them out - their Crayfish are wonderful! Perfect seasoning and ready to go! I also purchased some of their fresh shrimp and it was awesome as well. The color was good and the meat was firm when we cooked them. As far as I am concerned us landlocked folks have to search out the best we can do - we certainly won't find fresh off the boat - Floyd's delivered! I will be making a weekly stop to pick up their latest offerings and enjoy the smell of an authentic seafood shop - it's the next best thing to relaxing on the beach and I for one love them!!!!!

RUDE OVER THE PHONE – I called today to inquire about the prices of snow crab legs and when I repeated the price to clarify the lady yelled into the phone: "snow pre-cooked crab legs for $9.19 a pound ok". Wow, needless to say, the price was right but the customer service was RUDE and she sounded irritated that I even called.

RUDE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! – Got some crawfish at floyds. The crawfish were dead, at least the majority of them were.

The owner there was so rude and and made it sound like I was lying when I called to tell her. I will certainly never go there again, and I will also not refer anyone there. It was a horrible experience. Do NOT waste your time with them.

Even if any of the other food were good the service and owner are out of control, not worth the time, hastle, or money.

Unprofessional, Rude, Will NEVER go back! – Our family has used Floyds meat market for years to get our crawfish etc

This year will be our last.

We purchased two bags of crawfish shortly after un-bagged them to find one bag dead.

We called the owner she was very rude as she was when we picked them up.

She told us we'd have to bring them up there to confirm they were dead while in the meantime telling us we killed them. She was very rude, called us liars, and told us someone in our family killed the crawfish. It was absurd.

They were dead when we picked them up. I trusted that both bags were alive and shouldnt have.

Instead of making the customer happy like an owner should she instead did the opposite and lost my whole families respect and future sales from all of our family and friends.

I could go on and on about the story and how she treated us and accused us of killing these mud bugs that were already dead but I'll stop here and advise anyone looking for crawfish or seafood to look elsewhere!

Rude and Very Unprofessional – Fri April 29th I baught 2 bags of crawfish from Lisa. After getting them home one of them didnt look to lively . I have two kiddy pools that I got from walmart. (You know the little blue plastic ones) that I use. One to pour the crawfish into so that we can kull out the dead ones and the other to purge them in right before they go in the pot. I got the bag that didnt look to lively and poured them into the plastic pool. Hardly any of them were moving. After kulling out all of the dead ones we had only a few hand fulls of live ones. So I called Floyds to let them know . I told them that i had poured them in a kiddy pool and almost the whole bag was dead. They told me that I shouldnt have put them in water. I told them that i didnt say that there was water in the pool I just put them in there to kull the dead ones . I use a plastic pool so that the live ones cant crawl off. Then they said give them a while that they just need to wake up. I told them that this wasnt my first time to do this and I know a dead crawfish from a live one. They told me to go ahead and open the other bag and that they would call me back in a few minutes. I open and poured them into the other pool (with no water in it) that bag fine, bugs were crawling everywhere. Lisa at floyds called me back and asked what the problem was and I told here that we had a dead bag of crawfish. Then she told me that she wanted me to go ahead and cook them and I told her that I wasnt going to cook dead crawfish. She said that I would need to bring them back today but she wanted me to cook them before I brought them back and again I told her I wasnt going to cook dead crawfish. I didnt like the thought that had to break up the party and drive all the way back to NLR but I could understand that they need to see the dead crawfish . She told me that she would give me a in store credit for the amount of crawfish that were dead and I thought that was fare enough. While I was cooking the rest of the stuff my daughter drove the dead crawfish back to Floyds. When she got back she told me that the lady at Floys was really rude and asked her why I didnt cook them like she told me to. My daughter told her that he isnt going to cook dead crawfish. The rest of the day went well ,we barely had enough crawfish to get by.

After 4 days went by around noon on Wednesday May 4th I checked my phone recorder it was Lisa at Floyds meat maket leaving a very rude message with a very hateful sound in her voice. She said that I did put the crawfish in water, that I did killed the crawfish and that she was not going to be giving me that in store credit ,that I can take the piece of paper that it is on and tare it up. Agian this was 4 days later !!

Now I really didnt care about the in store credit part but when someone calls me a liar it pisses me off. I am not a rocket surgeon nor am I a crawfishologist but I am smart enough to know a dead crawfish from a live one. why would she want me to cook all the dead ones before I brought them back ? One could think that maybe that she is selling them for the pre cooked crawfish in the store. I did read another bad review on here about how bad her pre cooked crafish were. Humm ! Kinda makes you think doesnt it. Funny that the only 5 star review that she has on here is her own. LOL If there is a star on my review it is because I had to put somthing there for this to publish. Me,my family and friends will never purchase anything from Floyds meat and Sea food ever again and hopefully after reading this you wont either.

VERY RUDE – Lisa sold us two bags of crawfish for a crawfish boil a week ago. Several of the crawfish were dead when we poured them out of the bag. We sprayed water on them trying to see which ones were dead and which were alive, but we by no means put them in much water at all. We called and told Lisa what was going on, and she told us to cook them and see if the tails were straight. We did not want to cook dead crawfish and waste time and spices, etc. Then she said we could come ALL THE WAY BACK (45 miles away) to prove to her they were dead. She gave us enough store credit for almost a whole bag. Then 4 days later she calls and says she cannot issue us store credit because we had to have killed them-- there is no way they would have done anything wrong. We have been boiling crawfish for years and would know if we had done something to kill them. BOTTOM LINE: if your customers are dissatisfied, MAKE IT RIGHT. We will never order from Floyd's again. The only reason she is getting one star is because I have to pick one star.

Business Owner Answers Allegation – I am the owner of Floyds Meat and Seafood and I want everybody to know that the allegations Pam1384 is making are simply NOT TRUE.

I have NEVER, ever asked a customer to charge more on their card than they are willing to, that is against credit card rules.

I have no "big fees" for small card usage, all charges are the same whether it is one dollar or one million dollars.

The credit card companies set the fees, not me.

Credit card fees are figured into the price of goods, always have been.

I also have a 33 year old business reputation to uphold and the part about the crumpling and throwing of the reciept is just plain ridiculous .And stupid, and more importantly a LIE.

Did anybody notice that this person is alleging this happened at Christmas, but yet her review is dated OCTOBER???

I would like readers to understand that this did not happen, I am very professional and always will be.

Unprofessional – For the past 5 years, seafood has been a big part of our family Christmas. This past Christmas, I went to Floyd's in order to purchase our crab legs, lobster, and shrimp. I brought in cash to cover the purchase and I went a little over what I had planned by a few dollars. I just gave the lady my debit card to cover the $5 and she insisted that I put more on my card instead of paying with the cash I had because they would be charged a "big fee" for using the card since it was under twenty dollars. I just told her that I did not want to use my card for the bigger amount and that I wanted to just put the five on my card. She became angry, crumbled up the receipt, threw it against the wall, and said, "I guess we will just have to eat it then!" I was shocked and calmly stated, "You know, I don't have to buy these things from you." And she said, "Fine, don't!" She was very rude and very unprofessional. I walked out without the seafood. I am assuming she is the owner and if so, she ate more money than a debit card fee. She lost an entire sale and possible sales every year with us.

unreliable – I placed a large order for crawfish early in the week. With it being so late in the season, the man on the phone told me that he couldn't make guarantees, and I should call back for confirmation. I called back on Wednesday to confirm my Friday order. I said secifically, "Hi, I'm calling for confirmation for my Friday crawfish order." The woman on the phone said, "Yes, we will have crawfish." On Friday, the day of my party, I received a call around 11 am telling me that they did not receive their crawfish.

I understand that they cannot control what is and isn't caught, but it is wrong to give people confirmation when you can't follow through. This party was important to me, and I even had another crawfish place on hold, but when I received verbal confirmation, I let the other order go. I called that store (Arkansas Best Crawfish) after my bad news, and they had gotten crawfish in, but only enough for those who had placed their special orders. I expressed displeasure on the phone at Floyds and I was treated extremely badly. The woman who runs the store was extremely rude, and she lied, saying that she never gave me verbal confirmation on Wednesday. She became very hostile, and resorted to name calling.

So now I have 30 people who are supposed to arrive at my house in a few hours, and I have several hundred dollars worth of groceries that were supposed to accompany the crawfish in the boil.
