Do not recommend – Although this is an Aveda salon, BEWARE!

I scheduled a 2PM appt, and when I got there, Chu Nin was just sitting a client down to cut her hair. Luckily the client's hair was short, so I only had to wait about 15 min. Whatever, not a big deal. Chu Nin sat me down in her chair and proceded to place the cape around me. All the sudden I feel a big yank at the back of my shirt. I asked what she did, and she said, "I took your tag off." What? You mean the label in my shirt?!! Yes, she did. She ripped the label from my shirt b/c she said it wasn't sewn properly, and then said it wasn't a big deal--she always takes her labels off her shirts, plus it was just cotton and wasn't expensive. Unfortunately, the t-shirt was $50 and now there's a hole in it!!

Then to make matters worse, the customer ahead of me was putting on AVEDA mascara directly on her lashes with the original wand, and the owner said nothing.

Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere. If you're looking for a hair salon, try Byu-ti, just a block away--510 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica.

Glenn has magic hands – I was referred to Glenn who works at this salon because my beloved hairdresser left the state. He's good at listening to what you want and making it work. I discovered that he is a master with long hair. I have since referred a friend of mine to him. She had long one length curly hair and he layered into it resulting in a beautiful cut with lots of movement and body all in the right places. My hair is long thin and wavy. He cuts my hair to maintain the length in the back and created special layers towards the front which makes it fuller. I get compliments on my hair all the time.

Glenn is one talented Brit. I would highly recommend him for long hair. A bonus - he's not very expensive. I think a long cut with style was between $55 and $65.
