Excellent – We have been going to Hakata for many many years. And will be going tonight on Christmas Eve. The new chef has made many positive changes in the presentation and the food has always been fresh and tasty.
Amazing! – Strange combination, Sport's bar and Sushi but probably the best sushi I've ever had. They don't have all you can eat but the Sushi but prices are very resonable and the beer prices are great! For two of us to eat and drink until we were stuffed it was under $40.00! Plus the service is exceptional, super friendly! We came in about 9:30 and they closed at 10, they never once made us feel rushed or uncomfortable, we were getting ready to leave about 10:15 and they were still offering to make us more food! The sushi was probably the best I've ever had and I eat sushi a lot, huge portions of very fresh fish! Check it out you won't be dissapointed.
Great service! – I stopped by this restaurant yesterday and the best sushi. Not only was the fish fresh but everyone that worked there was very friendly. It was a great experience!
Great happy hour – good sushi and inexpensive happy hour
the best Sushi in town! – hte sushi is great at Hakata. i love Nikkii, she is a great waitress that always makes me laugh. i look forward to going back soon!
absolutely fell in love with this place! – I just went there last saturday with my friends and my family,
We all heard this place was great so we were expecting great service
and even greater food. With no doubt, we got all that we expected.
The food was great, my favorite is the Dragon Roll (ask for it)
The workers greeted us as soon as we walked in the restaurant.
I most definitely recommand this place to everyone else that
likes to eat sushi/japanese food!
We all are looking foward to go there again soon!
No more All U Can Eat! – I went to Hakata the other night & they have discontinued the All U Can Eat!
On a positive note - they remodeled a bit (no more 80's pink & teal) & lowered the lighting so the atmosphere is nicer now. The sushi we ate was excellent, fresh & plentiful! The Onion Mix (with Albacore) was excellent & so much fish! All the rolls were amazing as well!
best sushi place hangout in santa monica – ok, disregard the dishonest and hating reviewers below.
Hakata sushi on wilshire is where I go with friends or with my dates.
The sushi is fresh always. I've never had bad sushi at Hakata.
believe it or not, I had some bad ones at Koi or sushi roku a couple of times.
And trust me, I eat sushi once every week.
Compare to other "hot spots", the prices are really good.
The service is always awesome. There were times when the staff knew most of the cutomers' name.
What I love is the fact that they have TV's everywhere so you can watch any games you want.
When I come alone, I sit at the bar during happy hours and cool my days off with $2 kirin draft or $5 hot sake, watching games. There were bartenders named Alex and Aki. They always take care of their customers. Awesome service, can't stress that enough.
Lately, I think they are trying to change a little bit. And they are getting busier every week.
So, if you want some good sushi on west coast, stop by Hakata.
You won't be disappointed.
Superior Sushi & Customer Service – Just last Wednesday, I took my entire family to Hakata Sushi, and it became an unexpected, wonderful night. As soon you enter into the restaurant, there is someone that greets you and your entire family, creating a very comfortable, and professional environment.
The sushi and sashimi are all very fresh, and you are clearly able to taste the high quality of the cusines. It is truly very rare for a sushi restaurant to meticuously prepare each dish with precise elegance and satisfaction.
All of the waiters and waitresses were all very friendly and helpful, bringing you everything that you need, and assuring your stay as a memorable one. If you want to take your family, friends, co-workers, or spouse, Hakata Sushi is a perfect choice and one that you will not regret.
Best Sushi Happy Hour! – My boyfriend and I went to Hakata last night for late night sushi happy hour. We showed up when it started at 9 pm. It goes everyday from 4-7 and then from 9 to close. We had a great experience with both the food and the service while sitting at the bar. We enjoyed $2 Kirin draft beers and $5 large hot sake. The spicy tuna roll, real crab california roll, and albacore sashimi were amazing. The food is all priced around $4, $5, and $6. We had dumplings and calamari (which was cooked in tempura batter) and both were very good as well. The staff was friendly and you can' t beat the quality and price. We will be returning very soon!
