Great ink - that's the idea, right ? – I have been to Love and Hate twice in the past couple of months (I followed my GREAT tattoo artist Eric from another shop). The shop is unassuming, not pompous/full of itself. It is all about the ink - and the work here is excellent. Everyone is straight with you regardless of the topic and did I mention the artists are extremely skilled at their profession. If you are looking for lattes or espresso at a tattoo shop, then you are really not interested in the actual ink after all. But if amazing ink and cool people are more important, then I highly recommend Love and Hate. I live in North Scottsdale and could go to any number of other shops between my house and downtown but this is the place for my canvas to go

Best Artists within a safe & clean enviroment. – Let me start by saying that I am NOT a stranger to tattoo shops, I've been to many! Eric Skramstad has been my tattoo artist for a few years now and he resently switched shops. So I visited Love & Hate Tattoo for the first time yesterday. Lets start off with the location, it's right off the highway and easy to find...perfect!

With private parking in the rear of the shop i knew that my car would be safe.

The owner is a down to earth straightforward kind of guy, as is Eric. Both of these guys will tell you exactly what you want to know about their art without being pompous, cocky or just filling your head with garbage that they think you WANT to hear.

Eric is a great artist, his work stands out, it doesn't just look like a bumper sticker that was just placed on your skin. Being open minded to the client's ideas & mixing his ideas & experience leaves you with a piece of art, not just a regular tattoo. Eric has covered up two of my old faded tattoos, and i have yet to find anyone that can tell that it was a cover-up. Check out his portfolio pictures, they speak for themselves.

The Best in the West Tattoo Shop – Ok,

Short and Sweet. Love and Hate is the best tattoo shop I have gone into. The artist I go to is Eric, I have been going to Eric for the past 4 years and his work is unbelievable. I always get great compliments on my tattoos. All of the staff at Love and Hate is very professional and the shop is really clean. I had a chance the last time I was in to talk to the owner, who is a down to earth guy and very respectable. He was very professional and I didn't feel like I was talking to someone who thought they were better than me. I had a normal conversation with a normal guy. Anyways the shop is great........KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!

Highly Recommend Love and Hate – I walked into Love & Hate a few months ago and found that the shop had changed dramatically. It looks like a complete renovation took place. The shop is sophisticated and modern but has a cool, old school sailor type appeal that you just don't see in tattoo shops anymore. The owner must have put out some major money on acquiring his new staff. I learned that within the past year he has recruited three new artists. The first artist is Meg, in doing my research I found that she is nationally recognized and known for her traditional tattoo work. I also looked at different nationwide conventions and saw her name numerous times in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The second artist Danny is also recognized for his black and grey work. He does some of the best portraits I have seen in a very long time. The last artist is Eric. Eric is a gentle giant, hes about 7 feet tall and acts like a puppy. His work is amazing, he does that realistic look with no outline. He mentioned he was booked out for a long time and I see why. I always worried about walking into shops and having the first artist I see tattoo me in fear of why they aren't working on someone else. At Love and Hate all of the artist are stunning. The last thing that really appealed to me about the shop was the cleanliness. The artists all mentioned how they would like to change Arizona laws to enforce sterilization. This shop takes no short cuts in professionalism, safety, detail, and pride. Check out their myspace and you will see what I'm talking about.

Amazing Tattoos with Awesome People Don't Hesitate to go to Love and Hate! – Okay, So I'm not a review writer but I absoutly had to write a review here!

Everywhere I go, people compliment me on my tattoos and ask where I got them done.

Seriously, All I hear is how they are the are the best tattoos they've ever seen and all are amazed how vibrant the colors are and how amazing the detail is!

I have ?almost? (still in progess) a half sleeve of flowers and butterflies. (yes I'm a girl) I have not had any touch up on it and the colors are POW! Just as bright as 2 years ago when I started it!

My Artist at Love and Hate is Eric. I have been getting tattoos from him for over 2 years and I would'nt go anywhere else. He is kind, patient and just an incredible artist and person.

As far as his work goes it?s unparalleled and my phenomenal tattoos are proof! His portrait work is also out of this world!

Everyone at Love and Hate is passionate about their work, their clients and truly listen to their wants and needs.

It's an easy going, comfortable athmotsphere with lots of funny stuff going on to keep you occupied. lol

Love and Hate is always an awesome experience with amazing tattoos and awesome customer service.

Do not hesitate to go there!

Best Tattoo Shop In The Valley – I've gotten two tattoos from this place in the past year and there is a reason why I went back for a second one. The shop is clean and has it's own unique feel to it which separates itself from most tattoo shops. Their prices are reasonable and the work they have done for me is amazing. I always have people asking me about my tattoos and asking where I got them. If you're looking for a tattoo this is the place to go. Ask for Danny Ross and you won't be dissapointed.

The ONLY shop to go to in Phoenix. – With all the gross shops floating around Phoenix, I am so lucky to have found this one. I walked in and felt so comfortable. For anyone going for a first tattoo, I would send them here. Everyone was so friendly. The shop was very clean and the artist explained everything to me. I am so pleased with my tattoo, I will only go to Love and Hate from now on. Jsn Anthony and Meg McNiel are AMAZING artists. You can see their paintings hanging all around the shop. Even is you don't go in for a tattoo, at least go in to checkl out the place.

WONDERFUL!!

Fav tat – I got my tat's done by them at a Cali SF Expo. Can't remember the persons name who did it a year. His name was either Jeffery or Mikey, he was tall & thin, but FABLOUS non the les. I loved the perfectly thin lines of my drawing i had taken to them. I got 1 side done last year & I'm going back again this year to get the other side done by them. Being from Cali I didn't know what to expect, but I've waited a year for the SF Expo to come back again so i could get the same artist again for my otherside!! Very nice friendly people who do great work!! Keep it up & see you in Cali.

BEWARE OF THE QUALITY OF TATTOO – Was tattooed by a artists who has been tattooing for one year and I was not aware of it. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this until after the tattoo was on my body. One month later found out it is scarred. Tried to talk to owner but he was very offensive and made derogatory comments to me and my husband. Please, Please if your going to use this tattoo parlor be very cautious !!!!
